Amazing house with views to die for.
Amazing house in a quiet and very pretty location. Amazing views. Very well presented house, very warm and welcoming. Has everything you want/need. Two very minor points - need Prosecco glasses and few more coffee cups, other than that - excellent. Well worth a stay. Recommend the Punchbowl and Ladle pub, excellent service and food.
Amazing house with amazing views!
This is such a beautiful house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Everything was very clean throughout. We were a family of 9 and there was loads of space to accommodate all. Plenty of bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen although I couldn't find any oven gloves! I improvised with the tea towels so it wasn't a problem. The garden was well maintained by Jodie the Gardener. The views up the River Fal towards Flamouth were ever changing and lots of walks to be had either side of the river. We didn't use the Loe Beach Watersports Centre about 100 yards away but that was only because they are not open until the Easter weekend. A good facility for all the family nearby though and Feock is a very pretty village to walk around. The week was completed with a visit to The Pandora Inn for an excellent dinner. Lovely peaceful part of Cornwall and we would definitely stay here again with all the family.
Great home and location
Beautifully outfitted, all the amenities, clean and today. Wonderful true 5 bedroom home.
For a house of this standard there are a few rough edges.
Toilet seat in powder room cracked and unusable as a seat.
Front "security" gate held together by blue rope.
Actual security gate non operation. Directions to property and location of lockbox unclear. Automatic curtains did not work and couldn't be closed. Safety deposit box did not work.
Thank you for your review - we are so pleased that you found the house to be beautiful and clean. With regards to your minor details, I should point out that things are a little different here in rural Cornwall than back home in the USA!! Firstly the security gates you refer to are farm gates - we tie them back with rope as down here, hardly anyone closes them let alone considers them to be for security - we use these to keeps pets and livestock in rather than to prevent an ambush by armed bandits. We have been renting the house for 2 years and no one has had difficulty in locating the keysafe until now. I appreciate that the country lanes are a little unnerving if you are used to multi-lane freeways, but after you called and we established what you were looking for the keysafe was very obvious. For further clarification, we do not have a safe or safety deposit box (again these are not considered common in Cornwall) and the curtains are operated by a marked switch which says ON and OFF. But I am pleased that you rated the house 5 Star and hope to see you back again one day.
