Very relaxing, comfortable and friendly house, everything we needed as well as a great pool. Had a lovely holiday here with great advice from owner about places to go. Suited our party of adults and teenagers perfectly but would also suit younger children. Highly recommended.
Lovely House, Fabulous Pool
As noted before, this is a substantial and classy French villa in the small town of Villefranche de Lonchat. With the back facing south and panoramic views, the terrace and pool get the sun all day long. Pool is great - big, clean and perfect for swimming. All in all this terrace is a great spot for relaxing and eating.
There is a bakery and grocer's a few steps away plus 3 restaurants in the town from simple to fairly elaborate.
Ludovic is the perfect host - great with communications and always ready to help.
Wonderful family property with great views and pool
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa. The villa is in a town, so we felt closely connected but was quiet and with fantastic views over the countryside. There was music and food in the square each Friday and a cycle race. Wonderful pool, great for young families.
Great property in a great location!
We stayed here with our three children, 6, 4, and 2 and it was perfect. It was very easy to find and had everything we needed, from kitchen equipment to pool toys for the kids. A beautiful pool and house with lovely rooms, perhaps the only slight issue was the living room not having enough sofas to all lounge on the odd wet day but didn't particularly bother us! The village was great with bakery, shop and restaurant and we would thoroughly recommend the night market on a Friday for eating out and generally soaking up the atmosphere. The lake nearby is also excellent - fantastic facilities and can easily spend a whole day there with the play parks and cafe for food. Also worth noting, if like us touring the various wine chateau's wasn't feasible with all the kids in tow, there's a great wine shop just outside the village with various local and Boudreaux wines that can all be tasted too! Ludovic was great, kept in touch before the holiday and called the first night and last night to make sure everything was as it should be which was perfect. Really couldn't find fault with any part of it - we had a very enjoyable two weeks and only wished it could have lasted longer!
a charming villa in a sleepy town
our party consisted of two grandparents, two parents, a three year old and a baby.there was something for everybody..the house was really child friendly with cots,toys,books..a boulangerie across the road provided breakfast pastries...the bar in the square was very welcoming..and the lake provided a sandy beach, play area, cafes and a walk/running path surrounding the lake.
Great house, great place, great holiday!
Charming house, exactly as the pictures and description suggest.
The house was clean and well equipped and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us ranging in age from 14 to 81 years old.
The village, although small but has 2 local shops, a friendly bar/restaurant and comes alive on a Friday night.
The nearby lake has a small beach/swimming area, playground for children and kayaks to rent - all free!
Thanks for a great holiday.
