Great place, easy access to main areas of city - Frank is perfect host, anything we wanted was provided ASAP - nothing was too much.
Thank you so much, you are great clients!!!
Amazing outdoor space - interior left a lot to be desired
First, we really enjoyed our time here. The outdoor space is unbelievable, and just as it looks in the pictures. The Pool area was great, and the outdoor bar and kitchen, and dining table for 24 was perfect for our big group. The location right next to the beach (and beach bar) was exactly as described, and was just what we had hoped.
The interior left a fair amount to be desired, sadly. Several of the rooms were nice and OK, but several others were not. Two rooms had showers that did not drain and had to be worked on while we were there, and the hot water cut out at one point. To his credit, Frank, the host/property manager, was very responsive in fixing these issues, however things like the drains should’ve been checked ahead of time. Two of the rooms had to be accessed from exterior doors, and one was not made up, and even when it was, the shower had sand in it and was dirty. The exterior walls by the driveway were falling down, and we were told they were planning to rebuild them the next week (which is why a bunch of trees had been pulled and were lying on the ground), but it still wasn’t exactly inviting when we and our guests arrived. Also, we were told that the towels provided were only to be used for showering, not for the pool or beach, but no beach towels were provided, which seems unreasonable. A few of our guests ended up staying in hotel rooms the last 2 nights due to these issues.
I do want to reiterate that we had a great time here, and despite all of the above, I’m not sure I would do anything differently if I had the chance, due to how great the outdoor space is and how perfect it was for our group, and that the majority of the people in our group did not have issues. With some basic fixes to fundamental issues and some refurbishing, this would be the nicest rental on the coast. It’s close. It’s just that the few issues that is has are significant and basic. It’s also worth mentioning again that Frank was a great host and very responsive to any/all questions and issues we had, and did his best (and usually succeeded) to resolve them.
