This property provided all that we needed for a wonderful stay! We had 12 people at the spacious dinner table for meals and games, enjoyed afternoons on the picturesque porch and evenings in the hot tub. We were close to Mohican for hiking and a short half hour from Mansfield for sightseeing. The owner Randy was great to work with!
Thank you for the great review. I really love the commitment you have all made to one another to get together every year.
The house is beautiful . Went with my daughters and grandchildren. We all loved it..plenty of space .very comfortable beds..clean ! Plenty of towels and cooking utensils. Nice pool table and hot tubThe mohican area is one of my favotite places to visit. We are hoping to do another trip there this year and stay in this lovely home
Clean and large
Upon arrival, had a small issue getting in, but owners responded immediately and got us in and changed door code. House was very clean and everything was provided except for food. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t enjoy the nice fire pit but there was plenty to do inside for two 9 year old, a 10 year old and an 11 year old. Highly recommended!
Cute secluded house - not too far from attractions
Adorable house about 10 minutes from Mohican Adventures and 20 from the Tree Frog Canopy Tours Zipline. The house has very basic kitchen utensils, but no real cooking supplies (oil/cooking spray, aluminum foil). Hot tub was awesome but seems to be set at 104 degrees. I was with a group of nine women and there was plenty of space for all of us.
Randy was easy to work with and always responded to text/email very quickly.
I highly recommend this place and would book it again if I go back to the area.
Enjoyed the country and Mohican!
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Drive to and from was beautiful... rolling hills, farms, etc. Loved that we could bring our dog... she enjoyed running around the property. Hot tub was really nice - new and clean. Beds were comfy and gas fireplace was a nice added bonus given cold temps. Played board games, cards, read books, played pool... nice family time. We ate at Fast Eddie's in Belleville one night - great food. Toured Mohican state park one day... lots of great sites and hiking trails - dog also really enjoyed it. We stopped in Loudonville for shops and Amish market. Had planned to head to Millersburg or Berlin for more shopping and food, but never made it - weather did not cooperate. Would love to hit next time around. We stopped at local grocery to get all we needed... food, condiments, etc.... Nice vacation - in middle of no-where with small town/country feel.... nice get away from our busy lives.
Christmas break getaway!
This 2 day getaway was our Christmas gift to our children. Thinking about the hustle and bustle of Christmas and life in general, what my husband and I wanted for Christmas was to just spend time with our children. We have 4 children. Our oldest daughter is married and our oldest son is engaged. So it was my husband and I and our “6” children. Our gift was the 2 nights stay, money for food and gas, and lunch out to eat on the way back home. Our goal was no out-of-pocket expenses for our children. We knew it was meant to be when everyone was free the 2 days that the cabin was available. We were all excited waiting for our getaway! The cabin was wonderful! It accommodated us all very nicely. The large open floor plan was amazing. We could all be together during the day comfortably. We loved the large kitchen/dining room area and dining room table. It was great for our meals and crafts (the girls and I made pinecone kissing balls and homemade chapstick while the boys were right beside us playing Xbox, watching a moving, napping or playing pool in the game room down the hall.) The Christmas tree was a nice surprise and we loved the fireplace (just turn a knob and the fire turns on). The view from the many windows in the dining and living area was spectacular! There was snow on the ground, icicles hanging on the eaves, and it snowed off and on during our stay! Beautiful view! The hot tub was great too! The kids enjoyed it the most and the last night I decided to try it out. It was dark outside with stars in the sky and then it started to snow. Wow! I am 49 years old and that was a first. Amazing! The first morning of our stay I got up early and went for a walk. I realized we were up on a mountain/hill. Spectacular views! Planning our getaway I wasn’t sure if we would feel stir crazy the second day so I researched some of the suggested restaurants in the area and found one that would accommodate all of us. Well, we never went because we were all so happy to be where we were! So relaxing and just what we all needed! Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again. The owner was great to work with, answered our questions and was very kind. My husband and I would like to see our little 2 day getaway become a tradition in our family!
