I would expect visitors to behave with normal respect for the neighbours in terms of noise etc. I will clean the house and change bedding before and after your stay but please do your best to keep the place reasonably clean and tidy during your stay and to keep the house secure. I may ask you to water plants etc. in hot weather. I will keep the house stocked with tea and coffee making facilities and leave some fuel for your use in the fire. I would ask that you replace this if you use it or leave £1.50 per log if not. The safety of the open fire is best served by using the fire guard. Please note if you are alergic to pets this may not be the accomodation for you as I have a labrador who visits the house sometimes and will allow visitors pets by arrangement.

Would stay again
The property is 300 years old so it's never going to be absolutely mint. However it has everything you need for a break away, excellent location, lovely little private garden, great local pubs and rail links.
The owner was very helpful and made the run upto our break stress free. The property is also dog friendly which was a bonus for us.
We stayed 2 nights at the cottage which is in a really good position in Wivenhoe close to the pubs, shops and estuary walks. The house had a slight bohemian feel, it was equipped with everything one could need for a weekend. Penny left breakfast bits tea and coffee which was very much appreciated. The bedroom was very warm and cosy and the shower powerful with lashings of hot water. We look forward to a return visit.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Cottage and have enjoyed both times. It has all the equipment and amenities that you will need and is dog friendly. Excellent location.
I stayed with my mother here for a week.
Wivenhoe is a lovely place, good walks for the dog, with the trail and a lovely walk by the river.
We enjoyed it here a lot. The property owner was very helpful and friendly.
I would recommend it.
Thank you for your lovely review
