Peaceful apartment in Centre of Paris.
My family of 6 comfortably stayed at this apartment for 5 nights in July. We arrived on the day of the huge football match where France won and Paris went wild. Although we were in the center of the hysteria the apartment was still quiet due to the fact that it faces into a beautiful and peaceful courtyard.
The apartment has a lot of charm and character with wonderful art, books and CD’s.
Anne was Out of town when we arrived but she called to ensure we were settled and answered any questions we had.
The apartment is well equipped with kitchen and bath essentials.
The location is amazing. We walked to many attractions but the Metro is right outside the door. We even used the Metro and RER to get to the airport.
Hi Dora, thank you for bothering to write this review. I’m sorry we never got to meet but am delighted that everything worked out. I always try and ensure that guests are happy and comfortable. You are welcome any time.
Wonderful Paris apartment!
This charming apartment was absolutely perfect for my family of 5. The location was wonderful with a metro station just steps from the front door. Anna was a gracious hostess allowing an early check in and a later check out- all related to train schedules. She allowed my 21 year old daughter access to the apartment as she arrived in Paris before me and entertained her while I made the journey from the airport. I read in other reviews that the neighborhood felt sketchy. I would call it lively. Yes- it is loud on the street but once entering the courtyard and apartment, silence. There is a book made by Anna with restaurant recommendations and apartment tips. Very useful! I would stay here again without hesitation! Thank you Anna!
We spent 4 days at this apartment and found it to be just great; it is quiet, has plenty of natural light and is located on the 4th floor off of a cool courtyard. There is also an elevator that eliminates the need to climb stairs. It is very nicely kept and appointed with enough room for upwards of 3-5 people. The location is also very well located in Paris and is immediately in front of the Strasbourg-St. Denis Metro stop, making it very convenient. We found the owner to be very nice and accommodating of her guests. I would certainly select this apartment again.
Thank you Jean Paul. You were lovely guests and looked after the apartment beautifully. You would be welcome back any time.
A spacious, quiet, delightful Parisian apartment
We had an excellent stay in Anna's Fauborg St. Denis apartment. The apartment is nicely furnished, very large, and well equipped with all the comforts needed. The location right next to a metro stop and within walking distance of many great restaurants and stores is very convenient. As others have noted, the street itself - Blvd St. Denis - is very very busy and a little rough feeling at times, but once you enter the apartment complex, it is quiet and peaceful.
The apartment itself is quite large, although the 2nd bedroom is a walkthrough rom the 1st bedroom, so it sometimes felt smaller than it should have. The separate living room and dining room are great for family gatherings. We comfortably fit 6 people (2 of whom were children who slept in the living room on the fold out couch) for a full week.
Anna is a delight to work with - she's very responsive, flexible, and met us personally to let us in, and has great suggestions for things to do and see right in the neighborhood. The location is great - central to much of what Paris has to offer, with immediate access to the Metro.
We would happily stay at this apartment again, and hope to do so!
Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure having you stay and you would certainly be welcome back at any time.
Relaxing artsy apartment
Our family stayed in Anna's apartment for 3 nights and loved it. The apartment faces a busy street but once you go inside into the courtyard, it is surprisingly quiet. the unit only faces the courtyard and not the busy street so it was surprisingly tranquil inside and very relaxing. The apartment itself is tastefully furnished with everything we needed. There is even a folder with all kinds of information about the city as well as the direct neighborhood. The apartment is right in front of the metro stop and across the street from a supermarket. A street with lots of restaurants, bars, and ethnic grocery stores is just a block away. The neighborhood is a little bit "edgier" than we had thought but that did not bother us so much since we did not walk around at night.
Great place to stay for a vacation to Paris
My mom, daughter and I went for a five day trip to Paris over Mother's Day weekend. Anna's apartment was perfect. It was light, cheery, comfortable, clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and it felt like home for us for an extended long weekend. There is a Metro right outside the main door and a grocery store directly across the street. We could walk to the Galleries Lafayette, numerous restaurants, the oldest wax museum (Musee Grevin) and the beautiful Opera House. The address was easy to find for Uber or taxi drivers as well. If you know French, there a lots of theaters and comedy clubs nearby. If you don't, there are some movie theaters that play movies in English with French subtitles.
Anna herself, is wonderful! She is responsive, flexible and wants you to be happy. She even arranged our taxi ride back to the airport for us. We loved it. I would love to go back in the future!
Un bar et un restaurant très populaire. Grande rue commerçante à proximité pour la nourriture.
