Anyone wishing to experience the Luberon area and Provence as the locals do, cannot do any better than this beautiful home in Cuceron.
The village is ancient and seems right out of a movie set. This is not a touristy destination at all, so if you stay here you are staying with locals.
The home itself is magnificant. From the outside it is a large stone building, set on a perch above a small road, dating back hundreds of years. The inside, however is ultra-modern. This includes a state-of-the-art kitchen, phenomenal Zen-like bathrooms with fantastic showers, a large HDTV with full cable/satellite, beautiful decorations, comfy beds, and a great patio with couches and gas grill.
Also, it is spotlessly clean.
We rent from VRBO frequently, I can safely say that the owners of this house, Stella and Aymeric, are the best property managers that I have ever experienced. Every possible question you might have about the house and the area is laid out in a professional "instruction guide." They took the time to meet us at the house and to show us around.
It was obvious that they take great pride in the house and in that area of France. They are enthusiastic about providing recommendations and guidance for things to do in the area.
One fact that is very telling about how much they care about their guests, is that I happened to mention before we arrived that my daughter has food allergies and cannot drink regular milk or soy milk but could only drink rice milk. I asked if there were any supermarkets in the area. Stella gave me a list of several supermarkets with their addresses. However, because we were arriving on a Sunday in the late afternoon, all of the supermarkets were already closed. Stella thought of this ahead of time and went out and bought us some rice milk before we arrived so that my daughter would have something to drink. That is indicative of how much Stella and Aymeric care about their guests.
If you one to visit this area of France, this is the place to stay.
