Relaxing stay in Poipu
This property is a good value. The location is nice and easy to get to everything you want to get to. The unit is relatively clean and I would stay again. However, keep in mind the pictures look great and they accurate although some of the things are starting to show some wear. In particular the main door downstairs. You have to lift up on it to get it to shut. I felt like it could fall of the hinges. Also, I had an issue with the lock. Sometimes when I used the code to open it, it would then leave the door unlocked when I did shut it. I have the same lock here at home and don't have any problem with that. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I do use that lock here at home every day. Also, it is nice to have some chairs, cooler and umbrella to take the beach. However, I must warn that the chairs are just camp chairs and they have seen better days. Good news though, right around the corner you can rent a good chair from Kimo's at a reasonable price. I have stayed in several Homeaway locations with great success and I have never stayed anywhere that had so many rules in the rule book. Granted a lot of them where common sense but that approach was a negative to me personally. Having said all of that, it is a great little find and the AC works awesome in the bedroom if that is something you need. I love the Poipu area and I certainly would feel comfortable staying in this unit again.

Paula's space is perfect for your Kauai vacation! Clean, spacious, AC, WIFI, with great instructions and a helpful guide for your stay. Would def stay here again. Great central point to explore the south part of the island.
Excellent stay, Amazing area
A beautiful clean rental! All the beach gear, kitchen supplies, bed linens ... absolutely everything we could have wanted. Boogie boards not included due to insurance, $14 at the local shopping area. The manager (Paula) contacted us half way through our time there to confirm everything was satisfactory and was there anything we needed? What a nice time we had in Kauai, absolutely no reservation in recommending this manager/property!!
Great place for the value
We greatly enjoyed our time at Hale Oneita. The house was clean and there was easy access to all amenities. Did the job for our stay in Poipu. One thing the owner may have mentioned on the listing but I'm not sure if she did is that she has a Roku which we really enjoyed using (we have one at home) so we could get access to Netflix/Hulu/Prime etc. channels. Many hotels and condos only have standard cable so this was great.
Great place to stay in sunny Poipu
We had a great stay. The place was clean and well kept. The owner was also very attentive and helpful as we were there during the hurricane watch. I would definitely recommend this place! Mahalo
Private, quiet and clean.
We stayed in this rental unit one month.
There are many nice things about this rental. The unit is smaller than the photos make it appear but very livable for one or two persons. This rental was extremely clean. We took full advantage of the deck with morning coffee and evening wine and dinners. The sunset from the deck was nice and there is a small ocean view. Looking to the north you can see homes on the hillside in Kalaheo. We felt safe being on a second floor with a sturdy coded entrance door, the deck sliding doors also locked.
A large very comfortableTempurpedic mattress was a big plus. The bathroom was ok but a non-slip shower mat would have been nice, we used a towel. The kitchen was functional and the appliances newer. A small breakfast counter was used for a computer. The SW side of the rental, deck, did get warm in the afternoon sun and we had to keep the blinds closed. The air conditioner in the bedroom made it pleasant, it would be too warm inside without it. The large TV was enjoyable, the front room furniture was attractive but uncomfortable. There is construction in the area with its accompanying noise but nothing that would cause any distress.
A three star rating was given because:
During our first week we found 4 out the 7 kitchen counter outlets that did not work along with a defective GFIC receptacle, probably the cause. The microwave surface light bulb did not work. I contacted the owner who told me that things could not be fixed because there were no handymen available?
A week later the legs on a coffee table were falling off rendering it unusable. On Super Bowl Sunday the bbq propane ran out, the spare tank was also empty? A broken flame diverter bracket and bbq lighter also needed replacement.
I contacted the owner again who responded quickly; they said housekeeping will come with some propane and a new lighter which they did the next day but added everything else will not be fixed until after we leave. We still had almost two weeks left on our stay so we felt that this rental was not their first priority. In comparison, having stayed at two other places in Poipu on this trip, a handy person was sent within 48 hours to address the issues.
This is a nice rental and we were disappointed in the failing of keeping this unit in good repair, especially the defective GFIC. So, when things are fixed we would recommend staying here but not under the unrepaired conditions we encountered.
This guest has seriously bent the truth so I decided it warrants a response. The statement below is patently false: "I contacted the owner who told me that things could not be fixed because there were no handymen available? ". What I said was, we're arranging an electrician but they are in particularly short supply on Kauai so if not a critical issue, we can schedule one in 3 weeks. The guest responded it wasn't critical as there were plenty of other outlets available in the kitchen (we have a huge number arranged for convenience.)
Regarding the propane, indeed the tank was low and we arranged a replacement the next morning. Regarding the coffee table, it was in working condition before this guest checked in.
The house is impeccably clean and well kept. But for electricians in particular, it takes time due to supply and demand. This is a guest who simply isn't honest or sincere.

• À distance de marche des plages (18 minutes de la plage la plus proche) ou à seulement 3 minutes de route de la plage Waiohai ou 4 minutes en voiture de Prince Kuhio Beach où il ya un grand parking et d'une connexion.
• Épicerie de Sueoka se trouve à 6 minutes de route.
• Koloa Fish Market se trouve à 7 minutes en voiture.
• la succession de Kauai Coffee, le plus grand aux États-Unis et la maison à 4 millions de caféiers, est un 18 minutes en voiture.
• Costco ou Times Supermarket à Lihue est à 25 minutes en voiture
• l'aéroport de Lihue et les sociétés de location de voitures sont à 26 minutes en voiture
Les attractions locales sont trop nombreuses pour être énumérées. Tout est à portée de main.
