Exceeded all expectations
This was the best experience you can as for. Everything worked smoothly. From the transportation to the check & out. I'll definitely use you all for my next travel needs.
We had a great time .....but the picture that are shown on this site of the interior the of the villa were misleading (the site should state that villa may not be exactly as shown) , we were in villa 57 which was dated and run down so that was a disappointment, nor is the villa on the beach as the photo suggest and the resort fee was$95. US per day . but the plus side the cook/house cleaner Marta was fantastic, having a pool was great and the concierge were very helpful , the beaches are clean, the restaurant are very good ( my favourite was the Italian- Bellini) the golf cart was well used otherwise lots of walking , the WIFI in common area was excellent , I would probably go back .
Great villa BUT................
Villa was beautiful, pool was great, but the unit needed many maintenance issues. Toilet in master took 7 service calls to get to work and then they said not to put toilet paper in it. Didn't have enough coffee cups, coffee spoons, bowls etc. Kitchen was not FULLY STOCKED. HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET LIGHT BULBS REPLACE. Small things that added up to unnecessary aggravation. Always ran out of water and had to call for more. Had a water cooler with a 5 gallon container that took 4 days to get filled. Restaurants where good but nothing fantastic. Most of the staff where great but a few had major attitude problems. It was fun having breakfast cooked for us every morning. Had dinner at the Blue Lagoon, one of the "nicer" restaurants, my wife ordered a red wine and after tasting it didn't like it. I tried the same glass and didn't like it so the server gave the SAME glass to my son to drink "REALLY". Beaches were awesome with cabanas of all types and the beach service was special. Didn't like the high pressure sale to get you to buy into the resort. I was on vacation not a business trip.
Massage on the beach with the ocean 100 feet away was a dream. Manuel was great in helping us solve our issues. If you go here make sure you make friends with Manuel the first day and keep his phone number with you
Beautiful villa kept pristine with wonderful outdoor full of lush tropical plants
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa. Villa and pool cleaned daily and efficiently. Outdoor is just a dream, (for us coming from US Northeast and running from snowstorm ) with lush plants that provides privacy and make you feel calm and relaxed. Housekeeping was done efficiently and quietly. Pool was also cleaned daily and we loved it. Whole experience exceeded our expectations - resort, food, beaches and especially people. It is beautiful island with warm, welcoming people. We are
definitely planing to come again.
Not luxury vacation but still nice
When I thought i was getting VIP LUXURY Villa I thought I really would be treated VIP. The Villa has basic amenities and really old, ill kept furniture and bathrooms. Yes, everything worked and if you are not expecting luxury, it will do. We have traveled through many countries and so we weren’t being Americans who need all first world amenities. It’s just I had to lower my expectation. I heard the word “no” way too many times from the staff. If you are suppose to be VIP then I would expect to be treated like VIP. I wasn’t asking for much. We wanted to dine at a particular restaurant, but they would not let us because it was for members only. Although it was listed in VIP section. We wanted to try the coffee house, and we were told no because we were not members. We ask our breakfast chef if she could make smoothies, we were told no, just off the menu. The “chef” only makes your egg...the rest is premade and sent to your villa. We just expected a personal chef to cater to our own families wants and needs. One day when they told us they were taking us on a tour to see what VIP amenities we could enjoy during our stay. Our sales rep was nice but kept showing us things we couldn’t use unless we were members. So it was pointless and disappointing. It’s like holding a piece of candy to a child and telling them you can have it only if you pick up your toys, lol. As for the owner and his manager, they were great. They didn’t do anything wrong as far as I’m concerned. The weather was beautiful and my family did still enjoy. My kids couldn’t tell the difference. Just wanted to be honest. Thanks
This was a last minute booking, and there were few Villa options left. Ideally we like to book our guests at least 60 days in advance and typically cut off firmly at 30 days to ensure a good Villa can be assigned. We do have the ability to book guests into a Royal Villa, except over holiday time periods. These are the nicest Villa's at the resort, but they do have a higher rental rate.
Typically non-members are able to eat at the two Grand Buffet Restaurants, and a few of the Al La Carte restaurant options. Our guests have about 8 of the 15 total restaurants (not including the Buffet's) they can request to dine at, giving them almost as many choices as actual members. Often if a particular restaurant is desired, if our guests reach out to us we can make an inquiry on their behalf.
We strive to ensure all our guests have a great vacation, but we can only intervene when called upon to do so. Member benefits are great at the resort, and many but not all of those benefits we extend to our guests.
