First impression was it looked a tad bit different than the photos, realized it was updated some. Beautiful and comfortable nonetheless. Property manager communication is great and very nice! Would def book again!
Love these condos!
This is our second time staying at this condo building. We love the location and the facilities. Some complain about the parking but hey it is covered parking and if you do not like the tiered lot there is another lot that is much easier to access. We will be back again.
Overall a great place to vacation!
We love staying at the Grand Panama. This was are second year in a row. We did have a couple small setbacks but Judy was very quick to respond. Overall we had a great vacation.
We had a great stay. Good location. Walking distance to many things. Awesome pool area. Kiddie pool and hot tub area were very nice. We did have some issues with our specific unit. 2 of the 3 TV's didn't work. They got fixed the day before we left. Our room was missing a microwave plate. So we couldn't use it because it would burn food. Each problem was addressed but it took a few days.
Cockroach INFESTATION...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
If it were an option to give zero stars I would. This unit was INFESTED with German cockroaches. We saw numerous cockroaches in the daytime. They were in the dishwasher, on the floor, crawling on the walls throughout the unit. The property owner was contacted & she thought just sending out an exterminator would suffice. The exterminator told us it was an infestation & was unsafe to continuing staying there. These cockroaches lay up to 40 eggs per day so they quickly multiply. The exterminator sprayed the unit however the spray does not kill the eggs. Needless to say, we had baby cockroaches everywhere the next day. The owner of this unit & the property manager stated they would not refund us our money & that there was no reason we could not stay at the condo. I contacted VRBO and thankfully they put us at another hotel since the infestation was so severe & a hazard to us. VRBO would not cover the expense of the resort fees so not only did we pay for a cockroach infested condo, we also had to pay daily resort fees to stay at another resort. VRBO reached out to the owner & he still would not help us. I have contacted the owner numerous times with no response. The property manager will not deal with us. She said it was the owners discretion at this time.
I have never been so displeased in my entire life. Not only was our vacation a nightmare, we had to treat all of our luggage once we got back to our house so we didn’t introduce cockroaches to our own home if some were to be in our luggage. In summary, unless you want to sleep with cockroaches, be deceived by the owner and have a horrific experience DO NOT stay here. I would attach pictures but it does not give me the option. If you would like to see the cockroaches for yourself, please let me know & I will gladly send you videos & photos of this disaster via email.
I’d like to correct the record and address a number of inaccurate assertions and critical omissions being circulated by this guest. It's unfortunate I can't post documents and direct correspondence with this guest, but it is important that I provide a complete picture for your inquiry and consideration.
Two hours after the guest gained access to the condo, she called my manager and described in detail that the condo was not "spotless" thus needed to be re-cleaned. My manager and cleaning crew immediately addressed all her concerns with 100% satisfaction. We thought everything was great, because we had not heard from the guest in several days. On the third day, my manager received a call from the guest stating that they saw a few "bugs" in the kitchen. Totally taken off guard, because we've never had any complaints about "bugs" of any sort, so my manager immediately called pest control service, the resort CAM and personally assessed the situation onsite.
The description the guest portrayed and said that the exterminator characterized the condo as infested is completely hyperbolic and patently false. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but opinions are not fact. The fact is, I have a letter from the exterminator that states a few cockroaches were localized to only the kitchen and most likely came from construction work being done at an adjacent condo. Moreover, the exterminator adamantly denies telling the guest that the condo was infested or unsafe to continue staying inside the condo.
The guest contacted VRBO, they in-turn started an investigation and moved the guest to a local hotel solely based on the guest's description of the situation. My manager had the condo sprayed and the following day had the condo deep cleaned. VRBO, post discovery process of the facts including the exterminator's documentation, told the guest that they were not going to pay for another night at a hotel and that the investigation was closed. The guest decided to return and finish out their vacation at the condo, even after my manager offered the guest a full refund if the guest wanted to leave. The guest became irate with my manager and demanded that they be able to finish out their vacation at the condo and receive a full refund. It was at that point the guest asked my manager for my direct cell number, which I wholeheartedly agreed to.
Several hours later I received a text message from the guest, which started off with "I've already consulted an attorney". That shut down any further communication I had with the guest. Even though the guest had decided to stay at the condo and there were no further signs of cockroaches inside the condo, the guest took to social media posting bullying, harassing and in some instances defamatory remarks about me and my manager. Hence, I will not have any further direct contact with this guest.
As you will note from reading the other testimonies, our guests are paramount to us and we express our heartfelt regret that this situation happened.
