Garbage pick-up is Tuesday morning. You leave a plastic, tagged garbage bag at the foot of the drive by 9:30. I provide tags. If garbage is a problem, I can provide a garbage can in my garage, but please don\'t leave garbage outdoors, as you will attract unwelcome wildlife. Please no noise that would disturb neighbors. I\'d be glad to help with planning day-trips, and answer any questions.

Beautiful, peaceful spot
We had a wonderful time staying at Anne's cabin during our visit to Maine. The area around the cabin is quiet and peaceful; you can hear the ocean and there was lots of wildlife. It is still close to route 1 for easy access to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and lots of other interesting areas for whatever you would like to do in the area. The cabin was clean and tidy and very cozy.
A cozy little retreat
This is a cozy, private little place with just about everything you could possibly need and a very friendly and helpful owner. A wonderful place to relax!
Thanks. These were perfect guests, even repairing a couple of small problems at the cabin.
Woods and Ocean
I loved having the woods on three sides - bird song at dusk was magical. It was just a short walk to the cobble beach - a pleasant place to sit quietly and enjoy the view of Acadia, watch the gulls and loons, and contemplate the tide coming in or out. Anne is a warm and considerate host.
Serene, quiet, rustic log cabin just a few steps away from the shore and amazing sunrises
For solo or couple travelers looking for a serene, quiet, and cozy place to be, this rustic log cabin is ideally situated on Hancock Point on a dead end road. Nestled into woodlands with a sliver view to the sea, the small cabin faces gorgeous sunrises and moonrises over Frenchman Bay. Walk just a few steps down the grassy drive to the uninhabited shore and search for seashells or watch gulls, double-crested cormorants, eider ducks, and black guillemots. With views to Mount Desert Island, this off the beaten track locale is a great base camp for exploring the breathtaking Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia National Park. Or take a kayak tour a few minutes away at Aquaterra Adventures. Highly recommended for those seeking simplicity, solitude, and a back to nature country experience.
Thank you for describing your experience in such nice terms; this is exactly the experience I would hope for all my visitors.
log cabin on the Point
This was perfect for our needs. The picture doesn't do justice to this quaint little log cabin on Jelllison Cove. The log cabin is the bedroom, with interesting log beams and walls. The place is clean and clearly loved. The kitchen is adequate for two people for breakfast and lunch, and capability for dinner, though we didn't use it for that purpose. Not much of a view of the water, but we were out and about during the daytime.
Many thanks to these delightful guests.
