Robyn's house was very spacious and clean for our group of 8 to stay at. We had a great time! The only thing I wish was that the basement bedrooms or the extra room upstairs had its own beds. We worked it out, but since we weren't 8 people made up of couples we ran out of beds and the air mattress unfortunately deflated. Robyn was easy to communicate with and responded very quickly! I would definitely recommend staying here.
beautiful, large, relaxed place to stay
It was a beautiful house for me and my friends. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable and clean. The house was very spacious and clean. The neighborhood was quiet. Robyn was very accommodating and nice.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed your vacation!
Epic and on point to what we needed
We just left the rental home today and indeed it was quite a remarkable experience. The rooms were pretty amazing very clean carpet was vacuumed, kitchen was well setup. The basement is very big, a great place to have kids play or do games. Kitchen utensils are quite modern. I would definitely be booking the place the time we go back to the Rehoboth beach.
In the past we've been very lucky with VRBO, it was about time we had issues. This is a house that is clearly a family dwelling "re-purposed" with minimal expense as a rental. The fun started with one of what was to be many calls with the owner informing us that the last tenant had "taken a TV cord" so the TV was inoperable...no big problem we planned to be at the beach. We offered to take the missing cord ourselves, in case TV time came in handy for the five teenage girls on our party. Eventually the truth came out, the house had been burgled with the TV and the cable boxes stolen. Hmmmm.... The owner promised to have all re-installed and was in the house when we arrived Saturday apparently "completing the set up". Only the set up was never tested and the wires were literally crossed so nothing worked at all. The wall mounts were also so sketchy we banned the kids from approaching closer than five feet.
Sunday morning dawned, rain. No TV service, no wifi...and a randomly beeping alarm.
So started a series of four phone calls with the owner culminating with a mammoth forty-seven minute three way call with us, the owner and Xfinity. In total we spent three hours on the phone trying to get the wifi up (some of us had work to do). Should have we gone to Starbucks for the free wifi? Yes, but you know how it is. When we pointed this out, instead of thanking us the owner gave us a litany of the issues they'd had with Xfinity. After the marathon call(s) we were left with a low bandwidth wifi service that barely allowed us to complete our work and the most basic of terrestrial TV services (only the basic package is purchased, and the cable box was an SD box). Think fuzzy QVC, the local news channel and , well, nothing else. Not even CNN. The televisions in the upstairs bedrooms are so old that they have built in VCRs. No worry, there is nothing to watch. We asked the owner, politely, by phone and email for a consideration on the rental for our help and inconvenience. As of posting this we haven't even received a reply to our request.
As for the rest? The kitchen is adequate, the master bedroom quite good and the rest? It has the unmistakable feel that a family has moved out in the last couple of months and the minimum has been done to equip for rental. The basement is enormous - and enormously empty. Not a single piece of furniture in 3 large rooms.
