Beautiful Property!
Our group of Mom, Dad, 3 kids [23,21,17] & 90 yr old Grandma had a great time hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing & relaxing at Dean's Lake Cottage. The property was just as described, extremely well-equipped & very clean.
Having access to 3 kayaks & a canoe was awesome!
Our sons loved exploring all the islands in the lake & they took their gear by canoe to camp on one of the islands.
Accessing trails directly from the property was very convenient. We were pleasantly surprised to find wild blueberries, raspberries & blackberries within an arm's reach of the trails & enjoyed them with our waffles (yes - they even had a waffle maker!).
The setting was very peaceful. There were so many spots to watch the wildlife & lake - the upper deck of the cottage, the dock & benches thoughtfully placed throughout the property.
We heard & saw bullfrogs in the blossoming lillypads, enjoyed the steady "buzz" of hummingbirds at the feeder, watched & listened to the loons, & had daily visits from a duck family. The only wildlife that were scarce were the fish. Dad & daughter didn't have much success catching fish, but they enjoyed trying.
Friendly property manager Rick stopped by & we enjoyed his visit. Owner Stefan was very responsive to questions before our trip & also called a few times during our stay to check on us.
This is an fantastic place to relax & reconnect with nature. Our family had a great time enjoying the property & our time together!
