Very peaceful and serene. This rental is everything as advertised! We went fishing using the row boat, the water was very very clear...The kitchen appliances are a bit dated as well as the pot and pans, but plenty of dish and glass ware. Awesome views of the water and shoreline. Highly recommend this place. Owners very kind and responsive!
The house looked like it was abandoned for years. Everything in the house is old and dirty. Old bed sheets, old squeaking mattress, old inside furniture, old pathrooms. Don't even think about going there in summer, because there's no A/C and you will boil at night. Tap water smelled like sewerage. And refrigerator smelled like something died in there and stayed died for years...
We had to drive to a gas station to buy not only drinking water, but also toilet and hand paper. Oh and forgett about fishing fron the shore, or swim in that lake. Well atleast at this house...
But not too bad with mosquito's, but good luck with thousand's of fly's.
Worst house i've ever bin in my life. Never going there again.

This property has so much potential but....! When we arrived & opened the door, we were greeted with a musty odor. The linen closet had no order to it so it was trial/error to find the sheets to make the beds. After I made the beds, I went into the master bath to find the toilet seat and lid covered in mildew! I cleaned that up. After the first shower, the stench from the well water and the musty, mildew smell left the master bedroom unusable. After I put sheets on the other main level bed, I found dirty rolled socks. It was the strong odor of mildew on the main level that left us all sleeping on the second floor together with the windows open. The Owners are aware of a moisture problem because we found Damprid bags with fluid in it. There are some serious security issues that need to be addressed PROMPTLY!! Once they came to light to us, we did not feel comfortable leaving the property. I spent more than 10 hours cleaning this house and I feel I only scratched the surface. Overall , I feel this property needs a top to bottom deep cleaning including the gutters where the plants are growing! The mildew, filth, stench, serious security issues aside; the most disappointing aspect of this property was the total lack of communication from the Owners! We could not find the key because it was not in the location we were told to look. Even after filing a report with the managing network, we have yet to receive ANY COMMUNICATION from the Owners!!! We recognize that no one is perfect and this is a vacation property; however, to still not have the Owners contact us in anyway trying to make things right has been the biggest disappointment of all!!! I have actually delayed writing a review in hopes that the Owners would contact us. Even after they have been notified of the issues we encountered, they have failed to reach out to us. The property has such great potential but I will think long and hard before I book this house again!
