Wonderful and truly very nice!! xx
It was an absolute delight to stay at the Petite JonQuay, every requirement catered for, and in completely wonderful surroundings.
Our stay was entirely comfy, problem free and well organised, the kitchen clean and well provisioned, the beds and linens superb, everything clean and working from bathrooms to bbq, with reliable Wifi (yay!!) TV and DVD, hot water plentiful, the furnishings both stylish and comfortable.
We choose to see the surrounding sights, Mont St Michel, the Bayeau Tapestries, Honfleur and Deauville, Omaha beach, several Châteaus with remarkable gardens (Jardins Remarquables) Le Château du Champs de Bataille, de Boutemont, d’Anginey, villages such as Pont Audemer, Giverney, Le Bec-Hellouin, and more....
...but the favourite part of our stay was being at the Farmhouse, the spring flowers in full bloom the scents were heavenly, the peace, and the birds, in the morning the neighbour’s cows in the next paddock were charming, waking up in a really lovely bed and bedroom, it was wonderful.
Near by Bourg-Achard is a nice size town with all amenities, a good market, a really fabulous restaurant L’Amandier (highly recommend this beautiful place with best ever food!!) Rouen was easy to get to as well as great to explore, its old city and beautiful cathedral, there is so much more in the area that will just have to wait til the next visit to JonQuay which we hope will be soon!
We always love it when our guests have a great time!
It was fabulous to have Valerie stay, she was the perfect guest, we feel very honoured when they enjoy it so much they want to return.
We always look forward to hosting return guests!
Lovely charming farm house
We stayed in the farm house with friends to celebrate new year. We enjoyed it very much, the house is very cosy and charming. The old elements of the house are well kept during the renovation. It was clean and we felt very welcome. The bedrooms are spacious and nice. I think the veranda can be lovely in the summer but in the winter you cannot use it because of the cold and moist. The region is delightful, we visited Honfleur, Rouen and Deauville. It really felt like vacation, thank you Jane & Steve!
we always love it when our guests enjoy the farmhouse and the region as much as we do!
Beautiful farm house surrounded by lovely Normandy countryside.
The open airy rooms and the rustic charms of the farmhouse was a wonderful welcome after our cramped but short car journey from Calais. Loved the view of the open farm from the shower!
Getting around by car was pretty easy as the farmhouse was located conveniently close to the coast and its surrounding villages and towns.
We met the owners who were welcoming and had recommended a restaurant in the local village which we tried. The food was superb and well worth a visit.
We love this part of Normandy and would definitely return one day.
We love hearing what our guests think of our little piece of paradise and love it when they enjoy farmhouse Jonquay as much as we do! thank you for staying. There is so much to see and do in this area and such wonderful restaurants, particularly, L'Amandier, it is great to have a michelin chef so close by!
