L 'appartement est grand, propre et confortable.

Très belle et grande cuisine.

La terrasse adjacente est grande et fleurie avec peu de vues ( la photo n° 1 représente la terrasse sur le toit )

La literie est confortable ( 160X200 ) et le linge abondant.

Le principal handicap de cet appart vient du trafic routier qui passe juste sous les fenêtres de la chambre.

Ce bruit, parfois intense, peut durer une grande partie de la nuit ( la route est celle de Faro )

A noter par ailleurs le BBQ en fin de vie et difficilement utilisable.

Fuseta est en voie de bétonisation intensive en bordure Est de la ville.

Les petites rues ( à l'abri du soleil et/ou du vent ) ne sont pas sans charme.

La place principale est agréable et proche du charmant marchand de journaux qui parle français et qui peut vous réserver un taxi pour le retour sur Faro.

Plus économique : le train. La gare est à 500 mts. Une quinzaine de trains par jour.

Le Mercado Municipal est intéressant . Le boucher aimable et de bon conseil parle français

Les " restaurants " offrent tous la même prestation, sympa mais monotone.

La petite plage est à peu près saturée en juin.

Il m'aura fallu cinq semaines et plusieurs rappels pour récupérer mon dépôt de garantie.

Réponse du propriétaire: We are grateful to Claude for his feedback, both positive and negative, and will work hard to address the concerns he has raised. We are obviously very disappointed that his holiday was less than perfect. With regard to Claude's points, I can offer the following information:- We understand from our local representative that construction work was taking place on the road outside our building which obviously added greatly to the amount of noise experienced by our guests. Sadly we were unaware that this work was scheduled to take place. I accepts Claude's comments about the BBQ as we have already arranged for it to be replaced at the end of the season with a traditional, hand-made stone equivalent. Confusion and banking issues at our end did indeed mean that there was an unacceptable delay in returning the guests security deposit. We were very disappointed by this and made a point of paying the guest compensation for the delay.

Such an amazing apartment, close to the sea with all the amenities you could wish for.

We have been coming here for seven years and are never disappointed. We love it some much that we are coming back in September.

Amazing property, I felt more than at home here.

On arrival the apartment was very well Equiptest, clean and inviting. There was everything that I needed to make my stay comfortable and I absolutely fell in love with the double walk in shower. The balcony was very private and a real sun trap where I enjoyed many hours in the beautiful sunshine in complete privacy. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you could wish for. The roof top terrace was amazingly spacious, well equipped and with stunning views. Fuseta was perfect for me In so many ways, easy to get around, beautiful beach and beach bar and plenty of places to dine out with friendly people. I felt very relaxed and safe here and so enjoyed seeing the house martinis flying around. I would definitely come back.

Nice place, nice people, what's not to like!

Stayed In Ian's apartment for a fortnight mid-March. The weather was not kind but the apartment was well positioned, clean and extremely well-equipped. Once I'd figured out how to work the TV - important when the weather is dodgy - it was a perfect place to stay. Ian is a good guy and his rep in Fuseta, Alvaro, was extremely helpful. Fuseta is a terrific contrast to the golf-obsessed sites west of Faro. Friendly locals and a sense of getting to know the real Algarve. Meanwhile, it is so easy to drive to other interesting places such as Tavira or old Faro town ( a delight ) or indeed Lagos, an hour away by the permanently empty motorway and, yes, play golf. Top tip by the way, if hiring a car then pay the modest charge to activate your automatic toll charger for the Mway. We've no hesitation in recommending this apartment, just hope you get better weather than us. Toodlepip.

Portugal village joy

Beginning February 18, we spent three weeks in Fuseta, a splendid small fishing village. This is a great apartment in a lovely location with many things to do even in low season. We had a car but one is not needed to get to nearby coastal towns. The wine, bread, jellies and various spreads provided by Ian were greatly appreciated even though we arrived in the afternoon. Alvaro was very helpful in explaining how things worked.

I'm not a fan of washer/dryer combinations, but we made it work. it is a spacious apartment and the two bathrooms were great for four people. We would happily stay there again.

A very enjoyable stay in Fuseta for 8 days with lovely accommodation

We have travelled to Portugal every year for the last 30 years; we visited Fuseta for the first time in February.

Accommodation excellent. Beautifully appointed and in an ideal position for eating out locally on the front.

Location: Unusual for us as the views were across the creek and then the lagoon as opposed to directly on the seafront. This afforded some lovely walks, especially if you are interested in wild life. Ideally situated for access to local restaurants and shops. A mere 5 minute walk will take you to lovely beach bar with magnificent views. Equally, a 5 minute walk away you can pick up the local train to nearby towns. Tavira is well worth visiting.

Eating out was a revelation! It has been many years since we have been away on holiday where the food in restaurants is very inexpensive and invariably local produce (charcoal grilled in front of you) with the obvious choice local fish. Wines and beers are also excellent value for money. There are no "posh" restaurants to tempt you so your euros will go a long way!

Fuseta is a charming and very traditional fishing village well worth visiting. The apartment was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished. Only negative for us as a couple was the view from the lounge terrace was a little restricted so there was only one spot where we could sit to overlook the creek/lagoon etc. There is a beautifully laid out roof terrace with excellent views but it is accessed by leaving the apartment and going up two flights of stairs. We are in our 60s and didn't trust ourselves to come back down after one too many glasses of wine up there!

One small recommendation to the owner: the train timetable was very out of date which we discovered on arrival at the station and had an hour to kill. It didn't faze us because we enjoyed coffees in the "square" at ludicrously low prices in this day and age.

We would like to thank the owners for their excellent support throughout the booking including Alvaro to welcome us and arrange transport back to the airport.

CANCELLATIONS
In the event of a cancellation at any time and for whatever reason, your initial deposit of 25% is NON-REFUNDABLE. Other than the forfeiture of your initial deposit, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before arrival will not incur any further charges. However, cancellations made less than thirty (30) days prior to the date of arrival will forfeit the full reservation fee. In all cases, any security deposit already paid will be refunded in full. Early departure will not warrant any refund of rent.

UTILITY COSTS
Weekly rates include an Electricity allowance of €25 and a Gas allowance of €25. Meter readings will be taken on arrival and departure with any excess deducted from the security deposit. Use of the gas fired central heating system is not permitted due to the excessive cost of gas supply to the apartment without prior agreement together with the payment of an additional deposit. Please note, however, that the air conditioning units in the lounge and both bedrooms can also be used as a heat source.
