DO NOT STAY HERE!
It is nothing like advertised!!!!!! All the rooms are in serious need of updates toilets don’t fill right shower was dirty and rusted faucets. Room carpet was dirty and needs replaced also hallway smelled like urine and was very musty. Windows in room are very old and dirty. The staff was rude. Elevators are like a death trap and broke down! I would never stay here again.
Also everything costs extra for cabanas and cushions or umbrellas for beach chairs also you get charged a resort “use” fee.
The beach was nice but there’s plenty of beautiful beaches along Miami area. This place is horrible and probably the worst place I have ever stayed. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ALL FALSE ADVERTISING!

The trim was great and the property although older was in great condition.

Not Happy Customer
Chris I was not planning on submitting a review especially a 5 star review! We felt the bathrooms needed some updating. There was paint peeling and chipped in the bathroom. Also my husband pointed out to me how the front of the building outside was missing large portions and pieces of the roof and building and would be a hazard if a piece fell from above. I would rate the hotel as a 3 at best definitely not a 5 Star. You also never contacted me till after we left so I don't see how you could have made any adjustments or corrected anything, because it was two days later that you reached out! My husband and I both agreed we would not be returning to your resort. I also am very upset that you took the liberty to give a 5 Star review in my name which to me is fraudulent! I will now post this in my review
This review has inaccuracies: (1) There are no safety hazards. There are not any pieces of the building or roof that can fall down. While there is a portion of the roof is being replaced, it is completely safe. These types of projects are strictly supervised by city officials, building inspectors, and engineers who have inspected on multiple occasions (as required by law and building code). The resort would not be allowed to remain open if there were any safety hazards. (2) You misinterpreted the message about reviews. I left a review about you as a traveler. I didn't leave a review for the property on your behalf. HomeAway allows rental managers and owners to review travelers so the next time you book, the property manager/owner can read reviews about you. The message I sent to you said "I have submitted a 5-star review for you. Thank you for being a wonderful guest. Please take a moment to leave a review for your trip...". (3) The reason for reaching out to you two days after check-out was to ask how your stay went, request a review, and ask for the opportunity to address any unresolved issues. Sometimes we can adjust traveler payments depending upon the issue. Regarding your comments about the bathroom, I have sent the comment to the property manager on-site. Thank you for staying at the resort. I'm sorry that it was not happy with your stay.
Something missing at every turn!
On check-in I was put in a room that had black mold growing adjacent to the AC vent. I complained and was transferred to a new room. The rooms were seriously outdated and drab. The lighting was dim and one of the floor lamps had a burnt bulb that was never replaced during my stay. There were many examples where attention detail was not evident. I will say my room was clean and house cleaning was good. But all in all not at all worth the price...
**There is not black mold growing near the AC vent. That would be illegal for a public accommodation. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Our prices are set accordingly. We're much lower than most properties in the area. Staying on Miami Beach is not cheap but this property is one of the lesser priced options. Additionally, the resort is having a renovation in 2019 & 2020.
Too loud and old hotel!
Whatever you do, do NOT stay on the city view. There is loud traffic at all hours. Hotel is dirty with a lack of serious maintenance. Nickel and dime at every opportunity. Better off going to a Local hotel and walking across to the beach, buying an umbrella and chairs at a convenience store The $45 tiki hut rental fee is a little excessive considering you are already paying a “resort fee”. What exactly is this fee covering other than more profit?!? We wouldn’t come here again
I apologize that your stay was unsatisfactory. The city view suite may experience noise because Miami is a big city with constant traffic. The traffic should not be loud and obtrusive at night. But you may be able to hear street noise if it's quiet inside your suite or if you're next to the window. The resort fee covers beach chair rentals and beach towels, and a few other amenities as written in the property description. The tiki hut is an upgrade that you have to pay for.
Overall, the room was super clean and just what we needed for a weekend trip. had trouble with the fridge being cold, other than that AMAZING stay and area. Definitely recommend staying here!
