We enjoyed the location and property. The only issue were the restaurants on site very expensive. The outside bar was super fun to sit at and the servers were on the beach which was great. The food was not the best and was way to expensive for what you got. But it was not the end of the world. Everything else was great.

Nice but too expensive
The room needed work done to it. There wasn’t any coffee to be found before 8:00 without going out of the building. There wasn’t plates or silverware in the room like the sign stated. Overall the place was very over priced for what you got.

I apologize that there were not any plates or silverware in the units as stated. I could have fixed this for you had I known about it. I always ask guests to contact the front desk or myself if you have any issues or requests. Also, there is a snack shop on-site (Cappuccino’s) which opens at 7am and serves coffee. We stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it!
We loved it! The room was clean and updated. The lobby to the hotel was very cool and they had a nice pool with a playground right on the beach. The whole time we just kept saying it would be nice to bring our boys here. Another plus was the pier that was free to walk on due to our staying at the hotel. The restaurant on it was very nice and just a cool place to eat. The only downside is the parking, this is all of Miami, but they have a valet service for$25 a day and was well worth it. Overall we loved it!

Place was not what I expected. Property and rooms need much maintenance and upgrades.
Surprised by extra fees and the need for maintenance in rooms and many areas.
Thank you for your review. I apologize the suite did not meet your expectations. Regarding "extra fees", there's a resort fee and parking fee (if you have a car). These fees are disclosed in the description, house rules, rental agreement, price quote, and the email confirmation. There should be no surprises. The resort fee includes beach chairs and towels (and more). Most resorts charge approximately $25/day just to rent two beach chairs. The resort fee also includes free local calls, voicemail, incoming faxes, daily newspaper, pool, jacuzzi, and fitness center (plus the beach chairs and towels).
Outstanding overall experience!
Very clean looking resort with all the amenities you could possibly ask for. Large pool with tiki bar. Steps from a beautiful beach with beach chairs provided. Fishing pier with restraunt steps from the resort. Stayed at the resort for 4 days and had a really great time. Great overall experience!!!

not my favorite
Definitely not our favorite beach hotel. The rooms are really small for more than 2 people and despite the partition between the two "rooms" -- there is no sound proofing, this is only a visual barrier between them. With more than 2 people in each room, there is also no place for luggage. The setup is kind of clever with the folding doors, but the rooms are too tiny to accomodate the furniture -- you cannot access the sink without standing on the couch to turn the faucet on. Rooms were somewhat updated, but the rest of the hotel was very dated and appeared in disrepair -- broken elevators, banged up walls, odorous carpet in the hallways etc. The pool was extremely crowded on the weekend and the resort effectively does no policing to ensure people are not walking in off the street or beach to use the pool. The pool was filled with people who were not staying at the resort and made the pool area feel very rowdy and not family friendly. The pool area also was dated and not as clean it could have been. Towels provided were threadbare. The beach area was fairly clean, but the cabanas are also broken and in disrepair. The beach in front of the pool was fairly crowded, though you could walk a 100 yards in either direction and find more space. The hotel could also be noisy and had poor sound proofing. Elevators were slow and it was typical to wait 10 minutes for an elevator; the lobby was insanely crowded at nearly all times. Check in was delayed for many guests, though not for us. This is not because of staff effort -- all the staff were hardworking and the general manager was always on property, inquiring to guests about their stay. The property owners need to put $$$ into maintenance and updates and provide for more staff to maintain security in the pool area.
Pros: Nice staff, hardworking people. Lots of good ethnic dining in the area. Beach is large. 4 nice playgrounds in walking distance.
Cons: Outdated hotel, poor maintenance, very crowded when booked at capacity, rooms were quite small, hotel is located on extremely busy road and lacks "vacation" feel. Pool area was not clean and the pool itself needs maintenance. Hot tub appears to be a health hazard. Wi-fi did not work our entire stay -- this was evident as people could only use wi-fi in hotel lobby.
We would not stay here again. For the sake of the hard working employees and general manager, I hope owners do updates and maintenance.

This rental is a suite and it’s most comfortable with 2 people but can accommodate up to 4 with the sleeper sofa. As shown in the pictures, there's a room divider with a door (not a wall) between the bed and the sleeper sofa. The location of the sofa should not be blocking the sink as that would make no sense. I’m not sure how this would occur but the staff will go to the suite to ensure the sofa is positioned correctly.
The elevators received routine maintenance during one day of your stay. One elevator was shut down at a time. Routine maintenance is very important and safety takes precedence. I apologize for this inconvenience.
Regarding the pool, it is a popular amenity especially during busy holiday weekends of the peak season (which was during your visit). The resort does have security measures to prevent outsiders from using the pool and other resort amenities. You may not see security guards standing at the pool entrance as this would not give the best impression but they do monitor the pool area. They will not allow or tolerate anyone using the pool who is not a registered guest. However, I can see how outsiders would want to visit the pool being that it’s right next to the beach and there’s a nice tiki bar and hot tub. I would like some clarification regarding your comments about the hot tub because I have not received any other feedback like this. However, I’ll ask to have the maintenance staff inspect it and look for anything unusual or unsafe.
Regarding Wi-Fi, I am sorry to hear that you were unable to connect in your room. This review is the only notification from you about the problem. I would have recommended to contact the staff to assist you with connecting. Also, if you had informed me of a Wi-Fi issue, I would have ensured that the staff tried to get you connected and if the resort had confirmed an outage, I would have tried to provide reasonable compensation.
I'm glad to hear that your check-in was fast. The front desk tries to provide a fast and efficient check-in for everyone. Sometimes providing good service may slow down the check-in process such as answering questions about the resort and providing excellent local recommendations.
