The hideout was def more secluded which was nice because we like our privacy. We were about 20-30 minutes from pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. It was convenient yet private nice and quiet. The cabin is small but def comes with what you need. The only suggestion I would have is to put two small t.v.s in the bedrooms and change the lights to have ceiling fans. With both couches being fold out futons you could easily have 6 people stay in my opinion. We would definitely recommend staying here again.
Heaven in earth!
What can I say about this cabin that hasn't already been said. From start the finish our experience was flawless. The cabin is perfectly located. We were 15-30 minutes away from many things to do and yet we felt like we were in our own little mountain oasis.
We communicated with the owners concerning our potential late arrival and they left the porch light on for us. The cabin was just as described and immaculate. We moved right in.
There is a local food store about 3 miles away, IGA, which we shopped at. If you plan on cooking most of your meals as we did, I do suggest taking the trip to Maryville where there are larger food stores. IGA is great for convenience items but we found it to be a bit pricey and limited selections although the rib-eye steaks were the best.
The kitchen has the basic items, Regular coffee pot (we brought our keruig) plate service for 6, pots and pans, baking sheets/pans, utensils, knives, blender, toaster and microwave. You do need to bring all your own food and seasonings (although we left the ones we purchased for future guests)
The entrance to the Smoky National Park was only a few minutes from our cabin. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg 30-40 minutes away. Townsend is quiet during the off season but it was a welcomed amenity for us. They have a great little pub called The Abbey and the owners are fabulous.
I can't say enough nice things about our stay, it was absolutely perfect.

Hideout really is!
The Hideout cabin really is a getaway. It is off the road, surrounded by trees on three sides. There is no traffic, and the seclusion is a welcome relief from everyday busyness. We found everything we needed for our stay. Thanks for a wonderful break.
You're most welcome. I'm so glad that you were able to relax and enjoy the serenity at the Hideout. I appreciate the great review. God bless you, Melody
