We had a great stay. The apartment was nice and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. We loved the pool, tiki bar, and of course the beach! Elizabeth was fantastic to work with.
Wonderful location. Nice condo.
The condo was bigger than I expected. Nice layout. Double beds were firm, which the young people traveling with us didn't like too much. The location can't be beat.

The view was amazing. We really enjoyed the Tiki Bar and beach. The food at the Tiki Bar was delicious. The pool is the only disappointment it could be cleaner. Overall it was a great stay.
Beautiful place and in a great location. Everything was close bye.

Overpriced condo in a run down hotel
This is an overpriced condo that is not taken care of in a run down hotel.
When we first got to the Ocean Manor hotel where the unit is located we were immediately concerned with the building as it is obviously the oldest building on the beach and is outdated and unkept. However, knowing that the condo has a individual owners we held out hope. Upon arriving at what we thought was our room we were extremely relieved to find out it wasn't, as it looked like a old hospital room from the 70's. When we found our actual room down the hall we were somewhat relieved as it at least matched the photos from the listing.
While the location on the beach is fantastic and so are the views, we were insulted that for the price the owners fail to take care of the place. I will list some examples below.
The building has no insulation or sound containment so you can literally lay in bed and try to sleep and hear people from above, below, beside, and down the hall all talking at the same time. And everytime a door shuts down the hall it shakes the place.
The hotel is a party hotel and has no enforced curfews and rents to kids without managing any behavior literally until all hours of the night.
The curtains block very little light and are on broken rods that are hanging off the wall and do not allow you to open and close them.
In one room the curtains are literally tied on with used speaker wires.
The trim around the old and decaying mirrors has been removed leqving only one broken piece attached.
The smoke detector in the living room is hanging off and looks extremely dirty or very old.
Most of the windows either no longer operate or if they do are very dangerous for a child to fall out as they open without limit or screens.
The 3 TVs attached to the walls look like computer monitors and the other TV is an old tube TV and frankly none of them are needed and are just an eyesore.
The door that is supposed to enclose the washer/dryer doesn't close and is a basic shed door that doesn't match the rest of the house.
It would be a decent unit to rent for $100-$150 per night but until the owner puts some of their money back into fixing it up beyond the somewhat recent bathroom and kitchen remodel I would avoid this place completely.
All these items still do not address the sound issues and the party house, unmanaged hotel it is located in.
Very disappointed for the price.
I will address only a couple of issues this guest posted since most of the complaints are subjective.
The hotel is one of the oldest on Galt Ocean Manor but it is hardly run down and unkept. The building is constantly being cared for and is nicely professionally landscaped.
The reason for the party atmosphere in the building is because it is Fort Lauderdale and it is spring break. EVERY hotel in the area will have spring break partiers. This is not what this building is like at other times.
The curtains were damaged by previous guests. They have been repaired.
