The location and layout of the condo were perfect. The pool was very nice and it’s in a quiet neighborhood! The condo however could use some updating. The bathroom faucets are worn, rust on the air vent and the master bathtub barely drained. It had a huge closet in the master bedroom which was great but it did have a funny odor to it. We left the doors open most of the time to air it out.
Convenient location, easy access to beach; first floor unit; nice amenities.
Very nice staff at rental office provided a welcome package of "essentials" (TP, dish detergent, coupons, etc.) This unit is on the first floor with only 3 steps up to the door, but a ramp maked access even easier for our stroller. Parking was just several steps away. The development has nice amenities and we used the pool everyday. The unit was clean and comfortable for our family of 6 adults and 1 toddler, but it was not overly roomy. The 2 queen sized beds were not comfortable and we discovered one of the frames was broken. The tile floors are very slippery in wet feet or flipflops - be careful. The unit does not come with any beach equipment, so you must bring or rent chairs, umbrellas, etc. Checkout time is an hour earlier then the usual 11am. It was quite a feat for us to get 3 cars packed and out of there by shortly after 10 am. The staff at Shoreline rentals seemed to understand the difficulty, and there were several other property packets being returned at 10:20.

Great location and size for the price
The condo was the perfect size for my family of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids). The direct access to the bay was nice and the community was very quiet. However, the cleaning left something to be desired. We spent the first hour cleaning the condo. Also every lightbulb was out, there was food in the stove and freezer, the dishes smelled like they had been cleaned with a moldy sponge, there was incredible amounts of food in the couches (1 was a sleeper, that's why we looked), the floors were dirty with old food, hair and dirt and finally there wasn't a stitch of toilet paper in the place. I understand if items like TP are not included, but I am VRBO owner of 3 properties in Big Bear Lake, CA and all of my properties help guests get started on their vacation with TP and small amounts of paper towels & napkins. Other than having to clean the place up we enjoyed our stay. I did have one question though. If I bought the linen package and had to make the beds, when do the pillows and bedding EVER get washed??? Gross thought I tried not to linger on while we were there.
We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, despite some unfortunate setbacks. We keep maintenance on staff until 10pm every day and cleaners on staff until 8pm on check-in days in case things like this occur. You are more than welcome to give us a call to request assistance with maintenance or a re-clean. We tell all our guests paper products are not provided, and we list this on the contract and arrival letter email guests receive 5-7 days prior to check-in. We would love to help you find a place that better fits your needs for next year.
Great location and cozy three bedrooms!
We have stayed here twice now and really love the place. The location is great away from the main drag. The pool is so nice and has a life guard! My only complaint this time is that the place was NOT cleaned well. There was food on the floor, candy wrappers in the closet, a greasy less when we opened the oven. I did call the management company and they sent a new cleaner right away but they did not pick up the candy wrappers. The place is so nice we will over look the candy wrappers! They need new plastic covers on the beds (used to prevent bed bugs!)
