Nice place and good tradeoff to visit New York
The appartment is very pleasant and it is a good tradeoff to visit NewYork at a reasonable cost. Less then 45 min to go to Manhattan center by subway.
We have not met enough the owner who was very nice.
The equipment to prepare the meals could be more important but it is really a very very minor drawback.
The neibourhood is really safe.
A French family (5 people)
This was a lovely family and i am happy that they were happy in my place
I take their suggestion with pleasure to try and improve the utensils in the kitchen. Its been a gradual process as i go along and i always welcome sggestions!!
Sehr hübsche, gemütliche Fewo, alles da was man braucht!
Great space and Brooklyn locale but Too Hot in Summer to enjoy it
The Apt itself was very nice. it was large and had a great dining room and good kitchen. However, as this is an attic apt. It was UNBEARBLY HOT! There was a single window air conditioner which could keep a single bedroom cool . The unit was also quite rattley and kept me awake at night even with earplugs!
The location is excellent in a lovely part of Brooklyn near lots of interesting restaurants and a few blocks walk to the subway.
Charming Brownstone hideaway
This is a charming property! Having zero experience with NYC or any of its five boroughs, I had no idea what to expect. Everything was as described, except for a few minor things we discussed with the property owner, Elizabeth. The apartment was comfortable and super clean. Since we were on a budget, we cooked our own meals at the apartment and it was equipped with everything we needed to do so. We had a great time and never really felt insecure about having our car parked on the street. All in all, enjoyable!
This was a lovely family and for folks coming to Brooklyn for the first time - and all of its mixture of people living together - they adapted well and seemed to enjoy their time spent here immensely.
They are of course welcome back anytime. I recommend this family to any others who may host them in the future.
Great interesting space
We had a great time at Elizabeth's home in Brooklyn. She showed us around the top floor space, gave us the keys and was full of information about the area. It was a short walk to a subway into Manhattan. The space was filled with art, had nice beds, and the AC worked great. Would definitely book again.
Clean, spacious apartment
Family friendly, light-filled, artfully decorated apartment in quiet neighborhood. Apartment bedrooms are private and can be locked. However, there is not a door to the third floor apartment; kitchen, bathroom (with a door that locks inside), and dining area are accessible to other guests. Perhaps this is in the description about the apartment, I don't remember and only add it as we felt badly that we couldn't close a door to dampen the noise made by our young children. The apartment is close to the G and J trains to Manhattan or buses that go into downtown Brooklyn. Our host Elizabeth was welcoming and helpful. Free wi-fi.
No other guests have ever gone up to tge attic though and really tgere is total privacy since the other guests are in a clised apartment down on another floor of the house
