Great stay, views
Lovely setting. Visits from monkeys multiple times! This fit our needs perfectly. Those wanting all high end appliances and the most modern construction may wish to look elsewhere, but this villa has great space and everything was clean and island-appropriate. Privacy was a priority for us and this did not disappoint. All in all a great place to chill out when not exploring the laid-back island. Sitting up high on the large veranda or by the pool, breezes made the temperature feel perfect
Beautiful view,pool and house
Sitting on a steep hill above Oualie Beach, the house has a wonderful clear view across to St Kitts and the sea. You need a car with good clearance to drive up this steep track.
The space in the house is fantastic with a huge living room/kitchen/dining areas and also a large outside terrace. The pool is great and a sun-trap. The photos don't do justice to the house interior, bright Mexican-influenced colours and paintings. Masses of books,DVDs and CDs. Also very quiet as no close neighbouring houses. Only problems we had were short electricity power cuts- across the whole island- and water cuts too.
Amazing view, charming house and nice private pool
We stayed here for a week to escape winter in the Mid-Atlantic and get some much needed R&R. Everything was very smooth. The owners' local property manager, Kay, handled all the logistics for us - we flew into St. Kitts so she arranged to have a taxi pick us up, drive us to the end of the island where a boat captain was waiting for us to transport us to Nevis. Another taxi was waiting for us there to drive us up to the house. Kay also arranged for a rental car to be delivered to the house ... one less thing to worry about. The house is great - there were only 2 of us so we had plenty of room. The views were amazing and we loved sitting on the huge deck looking at the water. The private pool is also great. The house is very charming with bright colors and fun artwork. While some may prefer a very modern home with stainless steel appliances, we like the "island" feel of La Beate. The grounds are huge with gorgeous flowers. Very private and safe, too. The walk to and from the beach is via a very steep hill, so be aware of that. We rented a car so we visited several beaches but if you want a place where you can walk to the beach in seconds, this may not be for you. There is not a lot of restaurants to walk to (2-3) but you can drive easily everywhere or take a cab. We actually ate in most nights as it was fun to cook (the kitchen has everything you could possibly need) and enjoyed the view.
Expansive living space with spectacular views
We visited in January for 2 weeks with another couple. The space would have been more than sufficient for 6. The villa was very well stocked and cared for. The property manager responded immediately to any concerns.
The road up is steep and a car would be recommended. The grounds are beautiful and the outside space and pool are a great place to spend a lazy day when you don't want to leave.
The tropical breezes kept the temperature very comfortable without the need for air conditioning. We would definitely stay here again.
STUNNING!Literally my dream vacation home,perfect!
Honestly, if your idea of a perfect vacation means breathtaking ocean views, all the charm of the island and the culture- but with all the luxuries of modern life, and your own private tropical paradise- pool, huge back balcony (deck?) overlooking the water and the mostly undisturbed natural paradise around, lush tropical foliage, and private land all around you- this is the house for you!
Most beautiful views from the house, the deck, and my morning walk from cute, charming guest room to the kitchen, of anywhere I've ever stayed.
You cannot go wrong with this one.
