Located in Hlíðar, an old traditional, well-kept, and trendy area of Reykjavik. City, but still quiet, with a 15-minute walk to the main shopping street Laugavegur and 20–25-minute walk to city centre.
It's just next to (4-5 min walk) a great open green area Öskjuhlíð and The Pearl (Perlan), a great tourist attraction with a great 360° View over Reykjavík. TripAdvisor awarded The Pearl (Perlan) Best of the Best 2022! It is in the top 1% world-wide!
Learn more about Perlan at www.perlan.is The Pearl is a stunning landmark building set on top of six water tanks and offers viewing balconies to all directions and from there you can see all over Reykjavík, all the great mountains that surround the city and the seaside. The Pearl also offers exhibitions (Indoors Ice Cave, - Forces of Nature, - Land, Coast and Ocean, - Water in Icelandic Nature), Restaurants, Café, Bistro, Souvenirs store and Adventure Land.
Öskjuhlíð is a beautiful woodland area (surrounding The Pearl) and is a gorgeous place and a very popular quick getaway from city life, where visitors can cycle or walk along the various paths, that weave through a dense forest of pines and birch trees.
The paths around Öskjuhlíð join an extensive network of well-maintained footpaths in Reykjavík, leading through the scenic shores of Nauthólsvík beach and around the coastline.
In the neighbourhood you also find a museum Kjarvalsstaðir, the shopping mall Kringlan, and bus stop all around, the closest one just few steps away.
This apartment is only rented out from time to time when the owner travels herself. This is no company owned property, but a personal apartment with its owner’s character all around :). Come and enjoy.
