Did the job!

The house / cabin was clean and had enough space for us. It’s right across the road from the resort and is in a secluded neighborhood with lots of nature and walking trails. It’s definitely in need of some surface-level updates, but we weren’t expecting anything fancy. The kitchen cabinets aren’t really organized in any type of manner so you may be searching around a bit. Some of the dishes were dirty so definitely give them a look before using. The paper towels and TP are super thin so…bring your own if you like it thicker. Depending on when you visit (snow/ice/wet), access to the house could be challenging and messy. Also, be careful walking up the yard /steps from the driveway if icey. All in all, it worked fine for us at the price point that was acceptable.

Wonderful Experience

We really enjoyed Casa en Verde. Everything was clean and in working order. The surroundings were beautiful, quiet, and somewhat secluded. Just what we wanted. On the downside: The mattress in the south downstairs bedroom needs to be replaced as it rolls to the middle making it difficult for two people to sleep in. The non-stick cookware and baking pans and are not in good shape and should be replaced for future guests. Overall we give Casa en Verde a solid 9 and would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Getaway

We were looking for a place that was secluded and surrounded by nature we could hike in. This home offers exactly that! There is a trail not too far behind the cabin that is breathtaking! The cabin is also not too far away from ATV trails in the Angel Fire area which is another thing we wanted to do. The home is fully supplied in every room with more than enough! Plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen utensils! I absolutely recommend a stay at this cabin!!

Nice secluded cabin

It is a nice cabin in secluded corner of the neighborhood. Wildlife is abundant, including one bear visit in the afternoon. Good base for Angel Fire activities.

Return to Paradise

We have returned to this cabin primarily because of its location at the end of short road. No traffic. Many beautiful birds and woods, occasional elk, truly lovely. The floors creak a bit--but that's not a problem if you don't let it be.

I only gave stars due to the Location

The location of this cabin is prefect, it’s quiet and private with lots of wild life. The downside, This cabin needs ALOT of work. The cabinets are in disarray. We arrived to dirty dishes in the cabinets which we had to re wash. Despite paying a cleaning fee you are required to wash the dishes before you leave yet they don’t provide dish washer soap and apparently also wash when you arrive because they are disgusting. The blinds in the living room sliding glass door are broken so you can’t open or close them, they just stay half way open. The sliding glass door in the master bed room has Zero blinds or curtains so anyone walking back there can see in not to mention there is no way to block out light so you’re getting up at 630am regardless if you want to or not. The master shower bathroom facet to turn on the shower was busted. We then thought ok we will use the downstairs shower, nope that was was backed up with bugs coming out of the drain. Both showers were not able to be used. We called Vacasa, they said they could not get a plumber out to us so they offered us another place to stay, we went by said place , but it was not the same. By this time my husband had found a pair of vise grips in one of the many junk drawers and was able to get the master shower on after messing with it for half an hour. We decided instead of packing up all of our stuff we’d make the best of it, because you know, nice spot. A freaking disaster. Will not go back.

Was perfect, just wish the drive way and road was plowed, if we didn’t have a lifted jeep we would’ve been unable to access the home.

Sweet Chalet

The location was great. Set way back in the woods and very private with only the roof of one cabin anywhere in sight. Having a small herd of deer visit was a real treat. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Magical Mountain House

Our time at Casa en Verde was magical. The home is at the end of the street and is very quiet. It is a well loved home, the carpet is pretty worn (but it’s also a mountain home, that allows dogs, so replacing it wouldn’t be high on my list of things to do if I owned the house, additionally white-ish carpet seems to be popular in Angel Fire, which doesn’t seem like the best choice in the mountains). It’s the perfect home base for mountain adventures. The kitchen has plenty of plates, flatware and coffee mugs. The knives are pretty bad, but again, it’s a vacation rental so that is expected. Plenty of HOT water (low water pressure) plenty of towels and bedding. Slept 8 people comfortably. Internet was good enough. Streaming anything on the TV didn’t work well, BUT, you’re in such a beautiful place, so watching TV will hopefully be low on the lost of things to do. Communicating with Vacasa is ok, definitely call, as emails aren’t answered timely. A little frustrating that you can’t actually speak with the home owners. We had some maintenance issues that were addressed quickly. Would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent property with easy access to green belt trail

The property in general was very good. More room than we needed, but the location is nice and secluded. There is a nice cut through path to the green belt trails Coyote and Elk. Internet access was excellent (did have to reboot router once) and there was everything we needed to cook. Was monsoon season, so did have afternoon rain/drizzle most days. Nice and cool - highs just in the mid-to-high 60’s. One concern of mine is the 8 steps to get to cabin level. Be careful carrying coolers and boxes up the steps.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay and would go again. Overall, the location of the house sold us, however, the carpet is torn in several areas and has become a trip hazard. It was disappointing to find dishes still in the dishwasher and total chaos in the kitchen cabinets - one broken drawer.

Fun stay

Loved the location and privacy but the home is somewhat beat up and we weren't fans of the dirty dishes left for us to use. Also, there was no available fire wood during some cold March nights. Packing out our own trash was a bit of a bummer given what it costs per night to stay. I'd recommend to look elsewhere if you're picky about cleanliness and if you expect things like a gas grill and not having to haul out your own trash.

Great mountain getaway

We loved this place! We saw deer, elk, bobcat and many birds from the deck. The cabin is warm and inviting and very comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
