It’s an amazing place to be!
I’d definitely recommend this property and booking with Sue. She was very helpful, the place was clean and everything you dream of in your rustic camp/ island no fuss get-away.
Best thing, at some point I was one of the only 3 people on the island! This means great freedom!
Dolphins and chill
We had a very peaceful 2 nights here. Tidy set up with the essentials provided. A definite kiwi time warp with magic views and direct access to the surrounds. We were lucky enough to have a pod of dolphins 15 - 20 strong circle the bay early one morning with the fog lifting - special stuff. Sleeping situation is cosy and adaptable.
A gem. Such a treat to stay in an historic back lovingly restored and cared for
So close the cbd but a world away. Every inch of this wee bach has been lovingly restored to it's former glory and more. A simple haven to unwind in, read books, paddle and watch Kingfish in the bay, chat to people, eat slow, drink slower and be ready for bed at 8pm.
The care that's gone into restoring thus bach is amazing but so too is the care shown to guests, not just during the stay, but also in the lead up before. You are welcomed and gently led to this little corner of Rangitoto. Can't wait to come back.
Our family spent 3 nights on Bach 78 and had a truly fabulous time. We felt at times we were in a 30’s movie set, the bach was decorated lovingly and the location by the waters edge was beautiful.
Thank you Susan for looking after us and we look very much forward to coming back.
