Castle Mews is very peacefully located, down a gated passageway off Castle street, a beautiful street in the heart of Cirencester. There is a lovely enclosed courtyard garden at the front of the cottage, which leads to the front door. The door opens into the open plan ground floor: Living/dining area: The relaxing living and dining space contains a comfy sofa, an armchair and a wooden dining table, with seating for two. Discretely hidden away in a wooden cabinet is a small SMART TV and DVD player; Kitchen area: The lovely kitchen area is very well laid out and contains a two ring induction hob, electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a washing machine/tumble dryer.Stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom: A lovely eaves room, with oak beams and a ledge and brace door, which contains a king size bed; Dressing room: A nice additional space, which contains a sofa, a dressing table and a free standing towel rail; Bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.Returning downstairs, a stable door leads out from the kitchen area to a small, enclosed courtyard garden at the back of the cottage, which contains a table and two seats. The garden area at the front of the cottage is larger and is a beautiful place to sit outside and relax, containing two comfy chairs and a small table.

Salle(s) de bain
A lovely little bolt-hole right in the heart of Cirencester.
Castle Mews is charming, immaculately presented and very well equipped - though I have to confess that we did hide the Christmas tree for our mid-November stay :-) Being right in the centre of Cirencester was great, it meant we could keep popping back with bits of shopping etc. and of course is ideal for pubs & restaurants in the evening. Although there is no parking on site we were able to find a free parking space a few minutes walk away.
Thank you for your wonderful review, Mike. We're pleased to hear that you had a lovely stay at Castle Mews. We hope that you visit again soon!

Gorgeous little spot
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this lovely spot. It's a gorgeous and very comfortable little house, extremely charming. Its location could not be better, right in the very center of Cirencester. SO many things were just minutes away!
Thank you for your wonderful review of Castle Mews, Amy. We're pleased to hear that you had a great stay in the Cotswolds and we hope you visit again soon!
Very well appointed and great location
Perfect spot to stay to explore the Cotswolds
Cottage is lovely, it has everything you could need. Stairs are a little slippery (being just painted wood). Plenty of places around to eat & drink. Only a short drive away from plenty of beautiful Cotswold towns. Parking could be an issue but if you time it right you can park up by the leisure centre from 16:30 until 10:00 for free.
We really appreciate all the good comments – and always consider suggestions for a better stay.
Parking is something we can’t change. There are 3 car parks nearby (2 to 4 minutes’ walk), free overnight parking on Castle Street itself, as well as day-time meter parking on Castle Street and further up the road. We also tell you the secrets of free nearby parking in the guest manual at the house.
When it comes to safety, we take this really seriously. We did a full health and safety review during setup. Ongoing we follow UK guidelines for holiday lets including gas, electricity, fire and carbon monoxide. The stairs have bannisters and are painted in Farrow & Ball floor paint applied to manufacturer’s instructions. F&B has a good reputation for quality paint designed to be fit for purpose – which is why we chose that paint. We have also added a further anti-slip coating to the stairs.
Loved the cottage
Everything was as expected or better. Even though we were on holiday, we found ourselves liking 'just staying in the cottage' quite a bit.
