We stayed at the apartment for a 5 days family vacation - we were 8ppl ages 5-67 and the property was perfect for all of us!
Amazing location, was accessorised with all we needed, super clean and very comfortable! The Monoprix and metro entrance across the street made our stay even better!
Hands down would stay here again!
Paris Local Living
Overall this is a solid option if looking to visit Paris and stay in a very central location. There was so many great streets within a 5 minute walk with incredible Parisian experiences. The four rooms are all adequately equipped to sleep the number of people as described. As a guest, and a VRBO owner of multiple listings myself I would rather underdeliver and overimpress. The listing photos/feel and description and then the quality of finishings, furniture and features that were present when we were arrived were SO drastically inferior that I literally brought up the listing to show the individual that met us to arrange check in as I was sure it was a mistake. The furniture all looks like it came from garage sales or ikea and that was 15-20 years ago and then the tile/shower/sink and all appliances are nearly on their last leg/LONG overdue for updating.
It didn't help that we were there during a heat wave and this is on the 4th floor of a building that literally would not get below 90 degrees even with keeping all the blinds closed all day. Yohan did offer to bring additional fans, which we appreciated.
Overall Yohan was prompt and courteous at communicating but it simply did not meet what our expectations of the type of condition/atmosphere we were looking forward to as our home base. It's also important to know you are on a VERY busy street in which noise in Paris from trash collection to road repairs seems to have no noise restriction in addition to many great late night spots that are literally surrounding you but make for a VERY noisy 2:30-3AM middle of the night wake up call due to VERY POOR acoustics of the building. You hear EVERYTHING, the every 30 minutes of sirens/constant motorcycles/car horns/large trucks... if anyone is going up or down the exterior staircases you hear every step, and forget about sleeping if someone is occupying the unit(s) above as it sounds like they are dropping a hammer on your head if they are wearing shoes. I realize this is nearly impossible to "fix" and part of the "character" of an old building but it should be part of a disclaimer it was such a huge factor to our experience. I never like to give less than 5 stars as I know this is a factor for long term rental success but this unit needs updated or new, accurate photos taken to properly reflect the state of the unit and the description is missing MANY very crucial disclosures to be fair to guests.
Family Paris Vacation
This property was perfect for us. It is very spacious with two large living rooms where our 7 person group could gather. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfortable. There are only two bathrooms but the layout, with two separate WCs and shower rooms, made it easy to accommodate lots of people. Perhaps the best part was the location, great neighborhood, metro stop across the street, big grocery store a few feet away. It did get loud on Saturday night when there was a celebration but heavy windows and earplugs worked just fine. The rent was pricey but well worth every cent.
Big and sunny apartment with dated furnishings
The four bedroom apartment in the second arrondissement has big, sunny rooms allowing easy sleeping, quiet time, and separate time for relaxation in the traveling group. While the IKEA kitchens are pretty new, it is hard to work the appliances, there are few electric plugs, and few reliable conveniences.
Great accommodations with prompt response from owner!
Wonderful location within steps of metro station. Our group of 6 women were totally comfortable and especially enjoyed the Two separate living rooms. We felt as if we were “living” in Paris.
Wonderful spot to stay in to enjoy Paris
This is a beautiful apartment in the Marais area of Paris. It is close enough to walk to many sights and the subway is right there to enjoy the rest. There are lots of great cafes within walking distance, as well, to enjoy when not busy seeing the sights. About a block away is a grocery store and you will find lots of other stores in the area to pick up anything you would need. The apartment manager was great to work with and very responsive to all inquiries. There were eight adults and there was plenty of room for us to stretch out and enjoy the place. All were in agreement that this was a great place to stay and we all very much enjoyed our time here.
