The home was clean and larger than expected based on the pictures. The outdoor area near the water was SO peaceful. I’ve never heard so many doves! Our only complaint was the lack of hot water, but I’m pretty sure that was just due to us not knowing which dial or button to push on the water heater.
Thank you for your positive review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry to hear about the hot water. We have a 250l tank which reheats as it is depleted to ensure sufficient hot water at all times for guests. We will however review the instructions within the guest book to ensure that future guests don’t encounter any problems. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Old Band Room again.
Perfect Cotswold Cottage
As a first timer to England, I wanted to stay in an authentic Cotswold cottage and we couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. The cottage met all of our expectations: clean, comfortable beds and bathrooms, quiet location. The only improvement to the rental would be a combination washer/dryer instead of just the washer. We used the drying rack, but even with lightweight clothes, it took a while for things to dry, and since the only outside area is across the driveway, there was no area to put clothes outside to hasten the drying process. All of the interior stone walls and beams made me so happy. And we were able to take our first hike right outside the door, up the hill and continue on to Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters, and back to Naunton. Happy sighs could be heard upon returning to the cottage after exploring the towns of the Cotswolds. Driving on those very narrow, winding Cotswold roads was a bit unnerving, but we managed to return our rental car unscathed.

Fantastic cottage, even better than expected.

Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings
We had a lovely three night stay here, as did our Lab Oatie. The cottage is cosy, welcoming, clean, and has almost everything you need for your stay, including dog towels and feed bowels for the pets! I'd just say that the kitchen is a little sparsely equipped (more oil, salt and pepper, ie the real basics, would be appreciated) and the knives really need a good sharpening as they were all blunt. However, the welcome biscuits were lovely, and we felt at home from the second we walked through the door. It was the loveliest weekend away we have ever had, so thank you so much for providing such a wonderful get-away.
We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at The Old Band Room. We will take on board your comments about the kitchen, and get the knives sharpened.
Hope to see you again soon.
Cosy, comfortable and beautiful house

Fabulous Cottage in a beautiful Village! Highly Recommend
Kim and Lynne have truly thought of everything. This is the perfect property to stay in. Warm, Cozy and Luxurious feeling. The dog enjoyed her stay too.
Our boys who are 8 and 5 enjoyed having bedrooms with a 'secret' door between them. Our 5 year old loved his 'harry potter' bedroom.
Every aspect of this property was perfect and I am extremely fussy as I have a background in venue finding and event planning, therefore staying in some incredible venues over the years. This is truly top notch!
We have said as a family we intend to make this trip an annual one and come back year after year as we just can not fault our stay.
details such as having dog towels for when your pup gets muddy on the walks is just so thoughtful.
It was very good value for money too. I will note that if you like good food, 2 miles away is 'The Hollow Bottom' in Guiting Power - please go, you will love it!
Thank you for your wonderful review Emma, we're pleased to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay in the Cotswolds. We hope to see you again soon!
