Lovely Villa, Great Location. (and a perfect name)

Before we arrived, David (the owner) supplied everything we needed by way of information, and communicated with us very promptly. On arrival we were presented with a spotless and beautiful villa, with everything and more we needed for our holiday. The decor and condition of the villa is superb and the furniture too. Extremely well equipped and the two full size bathrooms a great bonus.

Location is great too, with a nice pool a minute's walk away and local supermarkets and restaurants a few hundred metres away. The villa offers a large parking area for a car and some nice beaches and towns are a short drive away. The local bus stop is also close by for those that don't drive.

Overall I would absolutely recommend this villa without any hesitation.

Great villa, great area, great holiday !

Had a lovely 2 week break at Scorchio. The villa was great! We are a family of 5 with 3 boys aged 14, 10 and 3. There was enough space for us and was equipped to a good standard. The villa was clean and in good state of repair. We met the cleaner who was really helpful, the neighbours are all very friendly too. The pool area was clean and in a state of good repair, whist we were there some of the tiles were repaired around the pool. We saw the pool and areas around being cleaned I think at least 3 times per week. The villa is well located with a supermarket and a few bars approx 5 min walk away and further supermarkets and bars within about 15 mins and 20 mins walk. We went to 3 beaches in La Marina, the main beach with the. Climbing frame, one further down in the general direction of Santa Pola at the end La Marina town and then slightly further on near Hotel Galicia all lovely. One day we parked at he La Marina main beach and had a walk through the woods until you reach a road, turn left towards the sea and you end up on the beach next to a lovely beach bar tat was very entertaining. We then walked back along the beach watching the kite surfers. We also visited the water park in Queseda and the fair at Santa Pola which was great fun and a very late night! We also went to watch the local football team Elche who had been promoted to La Ligament. It was a great experience and a very large stadium. We ate out most nights, the German bar, Patagonia Steak House but the gem we found (the is my third visit to La Marina ) was the Hogs Head over near the Consum. The food was delicious everybody loved it. Apparently the chef used to work at The Dorchester! It was lovely home cooked food.

All in all a lovely, relaxing holiday in a great villa.

fantastic villa

we went to this villa in July 2011.

Great communication with David, the owner, from beginning till end.He sends you a lot of information about the villa and his environnement.

Villa was well equiped and very clean.

Nice places to visit are Allicante, Benidorm, Guardamar and Torrevieja.

Walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. In "the lounge" you can get a nice Englisch breakfast for only 3,95 €.

La Tabernita nearby the Consum is a good and cheap restaurant for evening dinners.

I would highly recommend this villa for a stay in La Marina.

I stayed here with my parents for a week in May 2011.

If you are looking to stay in La Marina, then I can say that the location of this house is ideal.

It is walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants, bank and to the tourist information office.

Situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac. So both safe and tranquil environment. It has all stuff you may need during your stay.

With 3 bedrooms, the house will very well accommodate 5 people.

David, the owner of the house, will give you at the time of the booking a good printed introduction to La Marina and surroundings.

As the purpose of our visit was too look for a property in this region to buy, David kindly agreed to answer all the questions we had on the buying process of a property in Spain. Invaluable insight I have to say! Thank you David.

To see the wider attractive Alicante region it is still beneficial to have a car at your disposal. Although I suspect your trip will never take more than 30 minutes as La Marina is very central for access to other interesting sites/beaches in the area.

There is also a very kind couple of housekeepers who are at hand if you have any questions while there.

And if you stay in La Marina: I strongly recommend the Greek Restaurant El Mirador.

They have excellent food all week around, but on Saturday evening they organise a special greek night, with very nice live music and an attractive special menu. The lady owner is from Panama and she is also a painter.

I can add that I am a 'difficult to please traveller'. I usually read all reviews of all properties before I settle on the one to book. As I am satisfied of having stayed here, I suspect you too will be.

After visiting this villa in january 2011, it was a great villa, spotlessly clean, great loacation. First class communication with owner from start to finish, would highly recommend this villa to anybody wanting to stay in La Marina. Will be booking it again as it was so nice. Thanks for providing such a nice holiday.

Trip to Scorchio, La Marina

Highly recommended - the listing could be considered inaccurate as it understated , if anything, the facilities available in the villa . The villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained and customer service was excellent. I would recommend this property to anyone - situated in a peaceful cul - de - sac and well located to explore the area. Hopefully we will looking to book a further holiday later this year.
