Thank you very much for your review, we are pleased that you were good in conca dei marini and that you were happy with our service, we always try to make our customers as happy as possible
I hope to see you again soon :-)
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at conca de marina. Rosella and her staff were all very kind and helpful. We very much appreciated the assistance of the cleaning service as well. (Celia? and her very kind husband) The home at conca is very unique and the views are stunning. It was quite relaxing and an enjoyable experience. Grazie a mil to Rosella and all of her kind staff
Villa with Breathtaking View
This property was ok however not outstanding as I would have thought in relation to the price point. No living room furniture, one shower was not useable as it was broken, kitchen needs renovation and is very dark and outdated. The mattresses were very hard, and in comfortable. We had to pay a cleaning fee which is expensive when we had to take the garbage out or at a risk of getting fined. To me that should have been part of the cleaning. To access the unit you had to climb up 100 stairs and down 100 stairs. Good for the first few days in terms of location, however, then you have to venture out of the town as there is very little to do no shopping. The towns people very friendly and so are the few restaurants and stores that they have. Narrow streets, no sidewalks which takes some getting use to, however, that seems consistent in these little towns. This is a very quiet town and only 5 kms from Almalfi coast, which is excellent. There are three terraces all offering breathtaking views and adds to living space to this unit. Washing machine very very old and I would recommend updating. Beautiful lemon trees, however, need more maintaining.
the living has the furniture that appear in the picture so they are real and that has to be what to expect
The hand bath shower was new because was changed few weeks ago because was broken from some guests and to be honest was fine at the check in. Kitchen is not modern but all works fine. Cleaning were indicated to be paid extra so all are aware and we also reming to all guests at teh confrimation time.
Regarding the garbage we asked you to put the garbage away not because the cleaner does not wont to do it but just because if we are able to put away the gargabe at a specific early morning time than the next geusts would not find any at the house; unfortunately it is not posisble to put it out later in the morning. I’m sorry this was not clean to you and we are sorry you though was not nice to ask you to do it. In the village we have many rules to follow for the recycling and also specific days to put it out.
Also the steps are all indicated from the description. There are 2 way to reach the house; from the road below climbing 70 steps and from the top road getting down some more, at the check in we did the one from the top making it easier for you getting down with your luggage. Conca dei Marini is a small and pretty village and much more quite respect to Amalfi or Positano and there are few shops but guests can find all needed and we are happy your appreciated it. The washing machine is not new but works fine and the lemon garden is well mainaining but on the day of your arrival unfortunately we had loto f rain. I hope you can still have good memories of your holidays. I was happy to meet you and your family. Ciao Rossella
Too many 'buts' for this rental
The view is beautiful BUT you are advised when you get there that your balcony is not private and that others will be crossing your balcony space because the villa has apparently been subdivided and others will be walking across your balcony. They advertised 4 bedrooms BUT one is uninhabitable because of the smell of damp and mold and if you try to open the way up high window, the smell of sewer gas comes in. You think you can contact the property manager in case of an emergency BUT you can't. When cannons (yes cannons) began firing at 6 am on the second day and church bells began ringing non-stop, we rushed out of bed to find out what was happening. The cannons stopped by the churchbellls didn't. We thought there was a local emergency and tried to call the property manager but she didn't answer. We called the police but they didn't speak English. My son found the answer on the internet that it was a saint's feast day! The property owner had not warned us of this and we were scared to death. We thought we were getting a quiet spot away from the noise of the town BUT, without warning, there was hammering and banging all morning two days. The property manager said that she didn't know that the people next door would be remodeling. The property was advertised with Internet BUT on our last evening when we getting ready for bed and had 4 fans on (there is no AC), I turned on a hair dryer and the fuses blew and the Internet went out. There were no instructions by the owner on how to reset it and there was no point in calling her at 11:30 pm because she didn't answer at 6 am for the cannons. My son was just lucky that he had just submitted his online test by 20 seconds when the fuses blew and the internet went out because he would have failed the test because it did not allow for internet breaks. The property advertises double beds BUT they just pushed two twins together and put a sheet over it so that we repeatedly fell between the crack in the bed! (The other three property owners who rented to us in Italy joined the twin beds with a device that filled in the gap before they covered it with a sheet.) The property was charming BUT the appliances are ancient and the property owners did not provide any amenities besides salt and vinegar while the other three VRBO units we rented during our two week stay provided tea, coffee, sugar, wine, welcome baskets, spices, spaghetti, etc.. I've asked for a partial refund BUT have gotten no answer.
