This little cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for for our anniversary. Everything so was unique and so cozy. The owners lived next door and came over to speak when we arrived. My husband kept saying this was his dream home when he retired. We definitely recommend and will be back again!
Thank you so much for the kind review I really enjoyed our visit .I always look forward to visiting with all of our guest and our goal was to have a unique cabin in the Smoky Mountains that is different than anything else you can find out there. When I go back through and read our reviews I feel good about the fact that I accomplish that. Thanks to you and all of our wonderful guest that left us a 5-star review
Enjoyed our time in this cabin. Especially enjoyed the back porch overlooking the creek. Can tell David and Sue invested themselves in this place that they share. The complimentary wine was delicious and opened after returning from a long day. Plenty of towels and basics like dish soap, toweling and toilet paper provided. Even a few seasonings in addition to salt and pepper.
Enjoyed discovering the local shops and artisans. Like coffee? Books? Our Place on 321 is a must. Deann loves to brew a great cup of coffee for you and she has an assortment of specialty coffees also. Crafty Bear has local crafts and Debbie is so friendly. We didn't get to Doc's (they had a water line break the day we would have gone) but it looks like a very interesting place. Next time! Bearfoot Carver's was amazing with all the carvings and gleaning information from the woman there. We went to Gatlinburg and through Pigeon Forge, but they are a bit too touristy for our taste.
Townsend is a bit of a drive, but a quieter place to explore. Applecrest hosts a restaurant and shops. Plan to take your time at Cades Cove and enjoy stepping back in time. Carver's Applehouse Restaurant on 321 is a close place to eat with a great view of the mountains and orchards and good food. They also have a nice market and candy shop there.
We found folks helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning to this area, God willing. Thank you David and Sue for a wonderful place to call home while here.
Great place to get away.
Nice, fairly new cabin. Cleaner than others I have stayed at and very well kept.
If you're looking for a place to get away and relax away from the hustle and bustle world, this is it. It's about 30-40 minutes away from Gatlinburg, but I dont come to the Mountains for Gatlinburg! Nice people and no hassles to book. We would definately stay again when we have more time.
This was an absolute gem of a find! The cabin was wonderful, and all of the little extra touches
made it the perfect place for a weekend get-away! Everything you could possibly need was waiting there for us, and the owners were great, and even checked in with us to make sure we made it okay! The price on this place was astounding for what you get, and the location in the solitude of the mountains was perfect!
The cabin was exactly what the pictures show.
The stay at the cabin was a great getaway. The location is very quiet and a short drive from everything you want to do in the area. David was a very good host, he came by when we arrived to make sure everything was good. He was just a call or text away if you needed anything. (We didn't need anything because they have it all there) Thank you David for a relaxing week.
The property was perfect for getting away! It is sparkling clean, quiet, and the workmanship put into building it is apparent in every detail. Everything was perfect. We even enjoyed a bottle of wine left for us! It is far enough from Gatlinburg to enjoy the remoteness, but close enough that you can drive there in no time. There is a book of local activities and restaurants which came in handy! We met David on our way out, and he truly cares about the property and if we enjoyed it. This will be the only place we stay when we return to the mountains!
