Appartement 122 a city garden
Nous avons découvert un appartement propre, au premier à bord, avec de beaux volumes.
Belle terrasse, donnant sur la piscine, exposée Est/Ouest équipée d'une table et de 3chaises mais pas de parasol ni de store. Impossible de l'utiliser dans la journée ou nous avons eu plus de 40°C certain ap midi. De même que deux fils avec 3 pinces à linge ne correspond pas pour moi a un sèche linge.
Dans la pièce principale, 2 lits simples avec une literie à ressorts moyenne et bruyante, 2oreillers par pers mais 1 seule taie : top l'hygiène . Un canapé lit, pour la 3ème pers, complètement défoncé mais beau puisqu'on a mis un plaid très sale et qq coussins. Aucun ventilateur qui a en croire la propriétaire ne sert à rien dans son appart: c'est vrai qu'avec des T°C de 40 ça ne sert à rien.
Dans la cuisine un frigo Top (non nettoyé ) qu'on a mis près de 24h à mettre en route, dont la porte du freezer, cassée, tient avec un morceau de carton. Un équipement vaisselle très succinct:
Ex 2 fourchettes comment fait la 3ème pers pour manger?????, 2 mug..... Même les verres pour la plupart ont été "empruntés" au bar.
Enfin une salle de bain comportant un lavabo colonne, une baignoire sans tapis de bain (Attention aux chutes en descendant) , un wc et un bidet qui pour nous est totalement inutile mais qui nous sert a mettre nos affaires puisqu'on y trouve aucun rangement ni étagère pour les produits.
L'appart est équipe au minimum et au moindre coût ce qui explique l'absence de caution et d'état des lieux. Même si on ne s'attend pas a du haut de gamme pour le prix, le peu qui y est devrait être en bon état et des équipements tels que parasol et ventilateur devraient en faire partie. Nous comprenons qu'un propriétaire recherche avant tout la rentabilité du bien mais a ce point la c'est inadmissible. En passant directement par la centrale de reservation, nous aurions eu au même tarif
un équipement plus complet puisque un ventilateur plafond, le store ainsi que le linge de maison sont fournis dans ce type de studio.
L'environnement de l'appartement 122 est assez bruyant puisqu'il se trouve devant le bar et la piscine d'un côté et de l'autre côté boulevard, il donne sur des bars qui font des soirées rock, karaoke....
Par contre, le complexe "Gardencity" est très propre, les piscines et sanitaires sont faits tous les jours et nous le recommandons.
Fuyez cette propriétaire qui n'a aucune considération pour ces locataires!!!
I am sorry to hear you feel you have cause to make negative comments. You contacted Janet (the person who looks after the apartment for me) on your arrival to inform her that the fridge was not working properly and she sorted this out for your promptly. There should have been enough crockery for 3 people but you did not mention any other problems to Janet.
I would like to point out that you only booked and paid for 2 people and did not pay for a third person for the 2 weeks - which might be why you failed to mention this to Janet!
Fans are rarely required in Tenerife and you did ask about these in advance and I informed you of this and told you that if necessary a fan could be hired from reception which you did not do.
There is a tiled area behind the bath where you can place shampoo bottles etc and no one else has ever commented on this.
The apartments by the pool are the most popular on the complex and are rarely noisy but you did go in peak summer holidays when there would have been many children around by the pool.
As you had contacted Janet to tell her about the fridge (which was promptly sorted) I am not sure why you did not mention that you felt there was a lack of crockery and cutlery or Janet could have supplied you with some more.
As you say the apartment is in a lovely position and recently had a new kitchen and bathroom and offers excellent value for money.
I do wish you had mentioned any other concerns while you were there rather than wait until nearly 4 weeks after your return home.
As you can see from the review below this one someone else who stayed in the same exact apartment left a really good review.
Stayed in a studio overlooking the main pool (which was heated). It was fantastic sitting on our own balcony watching people in the pool. The pool bar was really good and offered reasonably priced food and drinks. We also used the Winning Post on the complex and the Chinese Buffet. Garden City was also close to the sandy beach so it really was an ideal position as close to everything we could need. The weather was wonderful and the people so friendly on the complex.
The apartment was suitable for self catering and had everything we needed including a kettle and toaster and British TV
This owner was very easy to deal with and gave us detailed key instructions and local contact in case of any problems. We will cetainly be back
Second time we have been to Garden City and even better this time. The studio we had overlooked the main pool. It was fantastic to sit out on our own balcony looking at the pool. The studio had everything we could need and was clean and tidy. The TV got a great range of all the main UK channels.
There was entertainment by the pool bar twice a week. The pool bar was very reasonably priced for food and drinks and there was plenty of choice of other place right outside the complex. We also enjoyed the Chinese Buffet on the corner of Garden City - which was so cheap! The guys at the Winnining Post and the food there was good as well
The sea was just a short walk away but it was so comfy at Garden City we stayed most of the day there as only staying a week. A lovely heated pool and good company as everyone so friendly.
We did go to the Siam Water Park for one day and thoroughly enjoyed that too.
Will certainly be recommending to family and friends.
A Nice Studio
Firts time stopped with Deanna and it was a nice studio and well maintained.
Only thing it lacks which is critical to anyone staying is ceiling fans or air conditioning.
Pleased to hear you had a good stay. Fans are rarely needed but everyone is different and fans can easily be hired from reception at a reasonable cost.
The apartments are proving more and more popluar with guests rebooking. If air conditioning was installed this would put the price up quite a bit as very expensive to run. But as I said most guests do not need it and fans can be hired if required.
