This is such a wonderful apartment to stay in when visiting the Normandy Invasion Beaches!! We have stayed here before...so we are turn customers!!!
It is immaculate!!!
You are within walking distance of some great restaurants, and also, within walking distance of the Place De Quebec where one picks up the tours you have scheduled for the D Day invasion beaches!!
Everything is exactly as described. Nothing more or less. The out of country owners made themselves very available. Their detailed and organized arrival, during-stay, and departure instructions and descriptions were greatly appreciated!
The apartment has great light from the windows and skylights. It is quite basic, but with most everything needed. The living area view is directly to the Notre Dame cathedral which is located only 5 minutes walk away, as is the Tapestry museum. The cathedral lights up strongly in different colors each night, all night, which creates a nice view for you at night.
Many, many restaurants and shops are immediately outside of your door.
We had a car. A car park was immediately across the street. With the Bateux mobil parking App it was easy to keep on top of the payments of 1 Euro per hour (3 hours at a time). 19:00~9:00 is free as is all day Sundays.
Beware of the stairs... 3 flights up. My wife and I (58 & 52) are in good shape and had no problem with them, even with our 80 days of luggage. We joked that it helped us to work off some of the wonderful French food. I mention this in case you have difficulty climbing.
The only thing that would have been nice (as a suggestion) is for there to have been a shower curtain and a high up bracket on the wall to mount the spray wand. It would have made "showering" and getting clean much, much easier.
Overall a great visit here in the pretty, friendly village of Bayeux.
Thank you Thomas & Martine!

Perfect for us
Loved it. Perfect for my 6'4" son and me. I gave him the bedroom. I slept on the full size futon. I am 5"8'. It was firm and comfy for me. The view of the church at night is fabulous. Parking across the street was convenient. No problem getting a spot. We used the washer/dryer it worked great. We ate at the apartment and out at a lovely upscale restaurant. We also ate at the bistro to the right of our green door entrance. There are lots of stairs so if you can't climb stairs this is not for you. But I love being on the Top floor. Great location to visit all the Normandy beaches. We flew into Paris and even stopped in Caen before arriving. Everything was clean. Plenty of towels, even for the beach. Little grocery a few streets down. Big Farmers market one of the days. We easily walked to the Tapestry. I love all the windows in the apartment, great way to put those in. Great welcome package, able to easily access the apartment and know where everything was. The canister vacuum brought back childhood memories. Yes I vacuumed the floor so I could use it. We never turned on the TV or Stereo. WiFi worked great as we brought our own laptops. I would recommend the in town apartment and would love to bring my boyfriend back here to visit. Thank you for the lovely accommodations.
convenient location and nice apartment
Everything was very good. Stairs to the apartment might pose a problem for those with weak knees or the elderly
This was a perfect location in Bayeux in a clean and comfortable condo.
The condo located on the main street of Bayeux. Looking out the front window is the beautiful Notre Dame Catheridal. The owners were helpful and easy to reach. We plan on going back to visit Normandy and will stay here again.
