Great Group Stay

Had a wonderful stay in July for Tough Mudder weekend. Great location close to Mt.Snow and downtown Wilmington. Also nice and secluded to enjoy the great outdoors. The roads are steep and dirt so it took 4 wheel drive on some cars to get there. There was great parking right at the house - we were able to fit 5 cars easily. The open floor plan upstairs was really enjoyable with a big group. The house was very clean and well maintained. There is no AC (something to note if you are staying in the summer) however there were quite a few fans throughout the house. The owner was very responsive with questions and very easy to work with. It was great to enjoy the porch and grill and relax. The three full baths were great after completing Tough Mudder - even the laundry onsite was a plus. I would definitely recommond this house for a summer or winter stay.

A great house

My family came over from NY and stayed here for the mother's day weekend. The house is in a great location. Mt snow is only a few miles away and there is a spa which we highly recommend. It's a big house and it comfortably fits multiple families. We liked the grill on the deck and we had a great time doing BBQ on Saturday afternoon. We also liked the game room in the basement where the kids enjoyed playing video games, cards, party games & ping pong. Adults could watch Direct TV or movies at night on a big screen tv with home theater sound system. We definitely recommend this place for a summer getaway weekend or ski trip in the winter. Owners are very nice & easy to reach.

We had a great time at this home. Beautiful, clean inside with open floor plan which made it so relaxing for two families even with 5 young kids running around. Views are spectacular. Can't wait until next year!

Great get-away home

Although we had been up to Mount Snow to ski many times, we decided to take a rare trip during the summer to check out the area. While we came away pleasantly surprised by the golf, swimming and Blueberry Festival that we happened to stumble upon --more importantly, we’re pretty sure we’ve found our new home-base for ski season.
It was a good thing we asked some friends to join us for the weekend because this place is huge! Modern and very charming. We had a group of 4 adults and 4 kids (3-6 yrs. old) and we all slept comfortably.
The kids spent a lot of time playing in the basement –Direct TV, video games, ping-pong, board games were already provided by the owner. When the kids were tired of that we would head over to the clubhouse to go swimming. We also took a short drive into town a few times (that’s how we found the Blueberry Festival).
While it looked like the town had plenty of restaurants, we took advantage of the kitchen and grill on the porch for lunch and dinner. The entire living area has a real open feel –perfect for socializing. The kitchen is definitely the heart of this home. You could just as easily eat at the center island as you could in the dining area. It would be a shame to pass up cooking and eating there.
While we highly recommend this place for the summer, there’s no doubt it would be ideal for a ski trip. With Mount Snow and Haystack right around the corner you can’t beat the location. Looking forward to firing up that wood stove next winter. We will definitely be back!
