I love this place, it's everything I need to have a relaxing time. Always eat too much and sleep too much, what more do you need! Love the fire in the cosy living room. Overall a lovely cottage.

Arrived on a wet and misty afternoon but good directions made the cottage easy to find. Once inside we felt immediately at home, the cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need and more.With the fire lit,a glass of wine and a good book to read we settled in for a relaxing break.Next morning when the mist had cleared we were greeted with wonderful views of the Donegal hills.Lots of fantasic beaches within easy reach, ideal for long walks with our dog and many great restaurants just a short drive away.
A great place for a relaxing break and good base for exploring Donegal

We absolutely loved the cottage. It was surprisingly big as it has been extended out the back and the photos definitely don't do it justice. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all beautiful and everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was brilliant and had every appliance you would ever need as well as all the condiments for cooking. The best part was the cosy living room and the turf fire. We cooked lovely dinners and then sat around the fire, it was absolute heaven. We only stayed for a weekend but would have happily stayed longer. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for a beautiful cottage,great views and quality time with family away from the madding crowds, this is the place to be. The cottage is decorated to a painstaking detail, every piece adding to the country style effect.We loved to spend the evenings by the fire trying our hand at all the board games which were kept for us.We didn't mind even when we got rained in for a couple of days as the books and Dvd's kept us good company.It turned out to be one of the most cherished holidays for all us(My parents,husband and Kids).And my 6 year old and 3 year old have still not stopped asking 'When can we go back to the cottage for another holiday?' Thanks Colette for making us feel at home.

The cottage was a comfortable and cosy setting escaping away from your everyday routine. The location was brilliant out in the countryside with the town 10mins away with all one's conveninces. The view was outstanding and the fire was a great treat. The board games were great fun got very competitive :)Would definitely recommend anyone to take a holiday at this cottage

Fantastic cottage, traditional but with all the modern touches you could want for. The weather was horrendous the first few days of our stay but just gave us the perfect excuse to stay in, light the turf fire and read - just what was needed, rest and relaxation! When the weather improved there was so much to see and do, the beaches were some of the best in Ireland.

I loved to come back to Donegal after some 20 years. It was just as beautiful as I remembered. It was still calm, lovely and lonely especially in the mornings when we walked in the mountains, up to the cliffs (the pilgrim's path!), along beaches and bays and swam in the sea. And always it was such a pleasure to come back in "our” Cottage. It had everything we needed (and a lot more!).
The location is perfect for all kind of trips and the sights from the cottage are beautiful. Especially at sunset - I couldn't stop looking out of the window of the kitchen seeing the colours change. My favourite personal flat screen with scenes (running sheep, barking sheepdog) and sceneries Hollywood couldn't do better.
If we come back to Donegal again, we'll come to Colette's cottage!

Our two-day stay in this wonderful cottage was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The cottage was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner had though of everything and finding the cottage and getting the key was effortless. The location in rural Donegal was beautiful. Sitting by a turf fire in the evening was a bonus!
Do not miss visiting Slieve League (go first thing in the morning and you will have it to yourself), the folk village in Glencolmcille, and wandering through nearby ardara for food, drink and handwoven textiles.
