The villa is located in a convenient, secluded and quite position (a car is needed unless very fit). It is spacious, all on one level and has been refurbished to a very high standard. We particularly liked the spacious pool terrace and the thatched shelter which provided welcome shade all day long. The pool is in the sun all day long (when the sun shines). We like a pool temp of around 30 deg and were surprised to find that we did not need the pool heating to achieve this temp (at this time of year). We also liked very much the conservatory or Naya (ideal for meals and quiet reading). The kitchen is well fitted and equipped with all the normal appliances - there are 2 fridges which were most welcome. Most essentials (pots, pans, tools, etc.) were provided, though we didn't cook much. The TV could only tune Sky News and a couple of other minor Freeview stations (e.g. Challenge, Men & Motors, etc.). The lounge and bedrooms were well finished and had quality curtains, all external windows had external grills and internal shutters. All three bedrooms had ceiling fans which worked well. The lounge does not have a ceiling fan and can get very hot, however a free standing fan, is now available, for the lounge.
One minor thing that rankled was that, pool towels were not provided. This meant we had to take these with us, thus adding to our severely restricted luggage weight allowance with Easy Jet. This would impose a significant weight overhead for a family of 4 or more. There is no Wifi or internet available.
In summary, we enjoyed our stay at Casa Al Mar very much, it is one of the best villas we have stayed at in Moraira - and we've stayed in quite a few. We were able to book for 10 days (whereas most villas will only consider Sat to Sat). So, for all the above reasons - this villa will be top of our priority list when we return next to Moraira.

We have just returned from a two week stay in Casa El Mar.
My husband and I stayed with our two children (aged 2 and
4 years) and my parents. The villa was a really comfortable size for us all
and the swimming pool ideal.
The corner stairs and 1 m deep shallow end make the swimming pool a great
choice for children gaining confidence in their swimming. The outside BBQ
facility worked a dream and we enjoyed some great meals out on the terrace
in the shade. The location of the villa, again, is great. It took us about
20min to walk up from a delicious boozy lunch in the Marina and, if driving
into town, it is a short trip with very easy free central parking. The beach
nearby is also only a couple of minutes drive, with a lovely, sandy
graduated beach, a fab restaurant for paella and ice-creams and, again, has
free and easy parking.
We obviously travelled in June 2012 the weather was a dream - 28-30degrees
outside and in the pool. Plenty of shade available.
The only thing I might mention is there are only limited TV channels
available without a sky card, but who needs TV when the sun is shining!!

We stayed at the villa in early September and had a fantastic time. The pool was warm, the beach only a short drive away and the town has some very good shops and restaurants. As our kids are quite young we also cooked a lot at the villa, which is very well equipped. Evenings we're spent enjoying the warmth with several glasses of excellent Spanish Rioja. I would definitely recommend it for a relaxing family holiday.

This Villa is a lovely home 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a heated pool charged at an extra cost but great for a winter bathing. A very peaceful quiet location a mile or so from the main town. We stayed for four months winter 2010/11 the wood burner made things very comfortable. A lovely warm double glazed Naya a bit like an English conservatory without a glass roof made sunny days when too cool to be outside a welcome feature which warmed up quickly. The agents we dealt with Tony and Denise were superb and more like good friends rather than just intermediaries.

Excellent villa which just about everything you need. Great pool for the kids which catches the Sun all day long, it was hard to get ours out of it. Bedrooms are great and can take 6 people with ease, and the Kitchen and lounge enal you to cook and entertain in comfort. overall first rate and private too. Just a 15 min walk into town to exercise the food off.

We visited this lovely villa from 6-13 June 2010 and highly recommend it. We have been renting villas in this area for many years as a "ladies only" family group and this will become a favourite. All amenities are as described and the information provided by Alex and Bob prior to our trip was very comprehensive.
We liked that we were met by representatives on the way into Moraira and taken to the villa where we were shown around and instructed on any appliances we were not familiar with. Tony and Denise were very helpful and friendly and whilst we did not need to contact them for anything, we would not have hesitated.
The villa was clean and well maintained with lots of outside space and a lovely pool. The boules pitch provided a very competetive, fun afternoon and would have had more use if we hadn't enjoyed such lovely weather.
We tend to use this holiday as a relaxing retreat so only ventured into Moraira for two evenings. Taxis were very quick and efficient. We enjoyed "El Nido" restaurant again but once more, our favourite and good value award goes to "Il Refugio".
Otherwise we stayed in the villa, or rather outside the villa and self catered inluding a couple of BBQs and copious amounts of bubbly pink stuff!
We would definitely return.

This was our second time in the villa. Since our first time it has been almost completely renovated and is very nicely done. We have been visiting Morarira since childhood (too many years to count), but this was our first time in October. Despite the excellent weather (25°+), the pool heating is a must and the pool got up to a decent 26°c after a couple of days. We didn't need the house heating, but were grateful of the blankets at night.
Other good points - the outside areas (2 tables, the bowling court and the large pool area). The naya is also warm and pleasant at this time of year). Our only minor gripe was the lack of coffee machine and the limited cutlery (strictly 6 tea-spoons), but this did not detract from an enjoyable stay.

We really enjoyed our holiday here. The owner, Alex, was very helpful and all the information we had in advance was accurate. The villa is clean,light and modern, with a good kitchen and bathrooms and very well equipped - the only thing we missed were reading lights in the bedrooms. The garden and pool areas are excellent - quiet and not overlooked, a pool big enough to swim in properly, plenty of space for sunbathing or children to play, an excellent barbecue area and of course the boules court - great fun!
It's on a quiet residential estate, about 15min walk to the nearest supermarket and bakery, recomended by Alex - delicious bread and cakes! - more like 30min back. It's not a particularly attractive walk though, and walking back from town at night on unlit streets isn't easy, so we got taxis (7 euros) when we didn't want to drive.
Moraira is small and low key - not high rise and boisterous - but had more than enough bars and restaurants to keep us busy. We had several meals of tapas, seafood and paella in the old town which were all of a good standard. We felt the restaurants in the newer part of the town were lacking in atmosphere and catered more for British tastes, which we didn't like (although others we met preferred them). For a different night out we had an excellent meal at La Soleil - modern cuisine, smaller portions but full of flavour and exquisitely cooked and presented - well worth the 25 euros for 3 courses and would have been twice as much at home.
If you like walking, the coastal path is easy with beautiful views. Inland the countryside is lovely with villages to explore but you need proper footwear. We'd recommend a trip to Valencia but only the brave should drive into the centre! We'd suggest driving to Xeraco - free parking all day and regular trains to Valencia reduce the stress!
The Moraira beaches are pretty but busy and lifeguards don't always allow swimming.For a larger stretch of soft sand try the beach near Oliva. Javea is lively but very built up and busy.
The people we met who were living near the villa were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the agency staff on site were not - if you need anything be prepared to stand your ground! This is a minor point though, not a problem. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday, and could easily have spent every day by the pool. We would certainly recommend this accommodation. We have rented many villas , and this is one of the best we have visited in Spain.
