Terrible

I feel we were totally misled by this property and its owners. I've only given it one start because this site doesn't give you the option giving no stars.
We had a terrible experience, so much so that we had to leave, losing all our money as the owner insisted we pay the full amount upfront.
The place was filthy, unsafe and the pool was unusable.
When we tried to appeal to the owner, showing photos of what we found as proof, he refused to accept our concerns and became insulting and threatening.
We were a party of two families, both with young children with the expectation of a relaxing family holiday. Given the description on this website, we were hoping for a clean, comfortable and empty villa with a nice private pool. And perhaps a bit of luxury given that this is how it is classified on this website.

I also tried to contact the owners of this website to express my concern about misleading customers but I never had any response.

Negative comments started from the second the group alighted from the taxi, before they had even reached the house. On entering the house they were instantly arrogantly rude to myself, and our staff, who had come to greet them and help with their luggage. They asked questions but seemed unwilling to accept the answers given. For example, they repeatedly asked if the staff lived in the house. They were told that the staff have their own house in the village. This question was repeated more than once. They sat down and consumed the fresh fruit, and sandwiches, and drank the fruit juice and beer that they had asked us to get. They then went around the property, taking photographs. They made it very clear that they were taking pictures that might show the property in an unfavourable light. They were extrememly rude to me, to which I did not react, they then said that the property did not match their expectations, and demanded a full refund whilst waving their cameras with a clearly implied threat.
Their 'terrible' experience lasted for less than 2 hours at the property.
When this group were booking we were aware of some dissention within the group over differring accomodation requirements. When they arrived it became obvious that a leading member of the group wanted a fully staffed residence with, for example, a bathtub for every bedroom. [In India bathtubs are quite unusual and only to be found in the very best accomodation. It is a definate luxury that we managed to fit one for our Master Bedroom. We were unable to purchase even one in the whole of Goa]. He complained bitterly about the lack of baths despite the fact the our advertised details clearly state the facilities available.
They have posted a fake page on facebook pretending to be Anand Villa, Mandrem, showing unrepresentative photos. Pictures of door mats are rarely attractive, we hope that people realise that they are sitting on a shining white floor. There are three plastic chairs that belong to our dogs, they like to sleep off the floor, and we consider them to be worthy of good treatment; they are located in a quiet corner. Our guests have rather better chairs!
We are confident that the weight of positive comments from many guests, and our own photos tell a more accurate and honest story than this review.
