Tranasasanaig - relaxing home in a superb setting

Tranasasanaig was much more than we had anticipated - how often do you get a home to rent instead of a house? The house has a relaxing, flowing feel to it, is tastefully decorated and beautifully laid out. The view from the living area is breathtaking and the kitchen is superbly kitted out.
The entire house was spotlessly clean and we could've eaten our meals off the floor in any of the rooms (mind you we didn't). This in a pet friendly house made Tranasasanaig particularly appealing to us. So many extra little touches like boxes of tissues, shower gels, hand wash lotion and a starter kit of wine, milk, scones, butter, tea and coffee made us feel welcome and immediately at home in the house.
The area is magnificient, off the beaten Ring of Kerry track, it is quiet and wild, yet Caherciveen and Waterville are within easy reach by car. The local Reenroe beach is perfect for walking the dogs while the garden at the house is well fenced to keep dogs within the grounds.
Richie and Agnes, the house managers were so friendly, helpful and professional, offering us assistance anytime we needed during our stay. John, the owner who took the booking , was equally friendly and professional, obliging where possible and always answering my emails promptly.
Tranasasanaig is most definitely pet friendly with the dogs sleeping in their baskets and not on the beds - this was very important to us as, much as we love dogs, we don't want to sleep in a bed where dogs have been.
There were four in our group and every one of us had only positive feedback on Tranasasanaig. We would all highly recommend this house and area as a holiday base and all intend returning - even the dogs!
