Stayed for four outstanding weeks. The villa is all that is advertised and more. The staff were warm, helpful and a delight to have around. Sumi's cooking was a bonus - good and interesting meals.
Villa Tigawasa is ideal for the group that wants to be away from the craziness of the highly built up tourist areas, yet would like access to activities and restaurants. If you want a place where you can just chill out, this is perfect.
We rented a motorbike for much of the time we were there and it worked out fine for getting up and down the mountain, but be aware that it is a narrow steep road. The neighbors, all of whom were Balinese, were welcoming and friendly.
While there is no internet access at the villa, we found many restaurants in town with free wi-fi service, so had no problem keeping in contact when we wanted to - the beauty of the place is that you find yourself not feeling so compelled to keep in touch with that other world out there.
Communication and follow through with the owners was excellent. They truly seemed concerned that all went well during your visit, and it did.
Would recommend Villa Tigawasa without any reservations, as long as your perfect image of Bali is not Kuta.

We are a swiss family with two teenagers and stayed in Villa Tiga Wasa in august 2011. The villa is a paradise! We rented many houses all over the world before, but never got anything like this. The outdoorbathroom is the most wonderful place for showers that you can imagine. Also the pool is most beautiful, allthough quite small. The bedrooms however are very large with each a pirvate terrace. The view from the front of the house over palmtrees and the see on the horizon is unbelievable. The staff Sumi and Kadek are very nice, but you have your privacy, if you don't need them. We also liked the village of Lovina with many restaurants. The only point which might dislike is the 15 minutes drive from Lovina up a very steep and small street to the house. For the local drivers that is no problem and it's worth it. If we ever come back to Bali it will be to this place. Thank you once more Chris, Sumi and Kadek!

This Villa couldn't have been better. Chris was very helpful, answering any of our questions and giving suggestions for what to do around Lovina. Everything was exactly as the listing described, but better. It was very clean, and Sumi (the housekeeper) was the sweetest lady I have ever met. She would cook for us if we asked, and the food was EXCELLENT. (Make sure you try her banana pancakes!) She even brought us snacks or food after she had gone home. Also, Kadek, the gardener, was very helpful as well. He helped us with whatever we needed, whether we asked about the pineapples in the backyard or if we wanted a place to eat for dinner. He also helped out when we had a little accident on a motorbike. The villa would not have been half as great without the staff.

The area is awesome as well. Its about a ten minute drive to the beach, but the privacy is well worth it. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, but my favorites were the Bintang Bar & Grill and Zigiz Bar. The dolphin tour is a must see. Watch out around the dolphin statue, there are plenty of people that will try to sell you various things, and they are very persistent. (Don't say maybe later!)

Overall, it was a great place to stay. We also stayed in a villa near Seminyak. It was far more expensive and supposedly better, but I would choose Villa Tiga Wasa over it any day, and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot.
