Great Family Trip

We had two families with four kids between us and found almost everything we needed in the condo. It was very comfortable and there was ample seating and sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was well equipped also. The decor was bright and cheerful but modern and sturdy. The view from the balcony was awesome. It says partial view, but you can see the beach amazingly well. The beach was not crowded during our stay, the pools are conveniently located at the end of the boardwalk for easy sand removal. The area was quiet and scenic. We even saw the sunset on Bon Secour Bay on our way back to the condo one night. It was about a 20 minute drive into the heart of Gulf Shores where we found delcious food and lots of attractions. Eat at King Neptune's, it was the best dining we had while we were there.
This was our first family trip in a vacation rental, so we learned a few things. First of all, COFFEE filters. This coffee pot needs a #4 cone, don't forget! Second, trashbags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs/soap, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies will be needed. We also found out after having asked the managment company multiple times that there is NOT a washer and dryer in the unit and only a few towels are provided in the condo. Booking through this site will not register you for the towel exchange service either so you are stuck at least washing towels. We were very well compensated for the inconvenience though and Resort Quest brought us more towels for the week. The washers and dryers in the building are communal and cost $1.25 a load. Also, come prepared for the first night and day because the nearest department store or large grocery stores are about 13 miles away.
The final thing we learned is that this property does have a beach chair rental service. We were told when we called that this property didn't offer that so we packed a bunch of additional stuff that we didn't really need after all. The info is just hard to get all in one place because there are different management companies for this site, the owner, the property, the building, etc. Overall we had an excellent time.

This condo was a wonderful experience. Although the condo was stocked with limited supplies, such as towels and toiletries, it was fully stocked with appliances. This condo has a great view of the beach, and the owner was great to work with. The WiFi internet was very slow due to the large amounts of traffic in the complex, but you were able to log on most of the time. We had four children with us, and the bunk beds worked great for sleeping arrangements. This was a great vacation stay. Much thanks to the owner!

Great family vacation rental

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores and this rental made our stay worth the trip. The condo had just enough space for our family of 5, was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Being next to the beach was great and sleeping to the sound of waves made us easily forget the cold weather back home. The beach was uncrowded and very well kept. The pools were nice but the water was a little too cold. Being 12 miles outside of town requires a lot of driving, but it was nice to be away from the Spring Break crowd. I would definitely recommend this place to friends wanting to visit Gulf Shores.

This unit was great. The kitchen was beautiful, updated, and very functional. It had everything we needed, and was well maintained. The Plantations is loaded with things to do and is in a great location. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very Nice Condo!

This was a very clean and well mantained condo. The updated kitchen and flooring were great as well. The property had great views of the gulf and offered many things to do for my family including my 2 year old. The beach was very clean and the was also in great shape. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to make sure my stay was the best it could be. Will definitely consider this place again in the future. Also it was really nice being a few miles away from downtown Gulf Shores since the Shrimp Festival was going on the same weekend we were there. I highly recommend going to Shrimp Festival, but traffic can be hectic. So staying outside of the hustle and bustle turned out to be a nice thing.
