This peaceful, lovely home is well-located near the pool, beach, boat rentals, Library, Chapel, restaurants and boutique shops. Each evening, neighbors gather with drinks in hand to visit and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, while others prepare dinner on the community gas grills. It wouldn't be difficult to get used to living like this on a permanent basis but alas we had to depart after 2 glorious weeks in the warmth of the sun. The owners were very helpful with tips on eating, shopping & local sites. Don't forget to go to the fabulous farmers market in Sanibel on Sundays.

We loved this rental property

The description regarding this rental was very accurate. The property was clean, well maintained and there was not one thing that we needed that was not provided by the owner. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and relatives. We had three adults and two children and there was plenty of room for all. The bedroom / bathroom layout was especially nice.
The restaurants in Captiva were a dissapointment - crowded, expensive and poor quality of food. Ding Darling animal refuge, Red Sox Spring Training and renting a boat from Jensens for half a day and shelling were the highlights.

Best house we have ever rented!

This was the best experience I have ever had renting a vacation house. The house is perfect for a family with children, close to the beach and just in super shape. The town is the next street over, the beach is a short 5 minute (if that) walk and the pool and tennis courts right across the way. The owner is very responsive and the rental agency helpful. In short-we LOVED captiva. We left 2 chairs, an umbrella, a boogie board and a 'noodle' for you to enjoy. We rented kayaks from Jensen's (who gave us an hour lesson for free); visited the everglades (take the boat trip from the park dock) and had many fish and chip dinners from the Murky Duck.
You simply can't go wrong here and I hope you have as much fun as we did.

A wonderful vacation

The home was lovely. It was filled with light, comfortable, and very close to the beach and pool. It was clean had all the amenities that are needed. It was within walking distance of wonderful restaurants (The Green Flash was my favorite restaurant) as well as a small market. We went kayaking, saw beautiful bird life and went on a boat to see dolphins. There are also bike trails near the bird refuge. The owner was very helpful prior to visiting Captiva and very kind when I forgot my directions while at the airport. One recommendation depending on when you are traveling is to check if it is high season for Stingrays to come close to shore. If so shuffle your feet to scare them away. I hope to be able to visit again.
